Christmas-time and Cranberry Sauce —an ideal combination. The gay red cranberry, with its delightful tangy flavor fittingly represents the cheer and happiness of the season. Fresh cranberry sauce is delicious served with roasts or poultry. It is easy to make with this recipe—-"lo-Minute” Cranberry Sauce (Stewed Cranberries) Boil 2 cups of water and IV4 to 2 cups of sugar together 5 minutes, then add 4 cups Eatmor Cranberries. Boil without stirring (5 minutes is usually sufficient) until all the skins pop open. Remove from fire when the popping stops, and allow the sauce to remain in vessel undisturbed until cool. Lanvin Offers Neckline Slit Almost to Knee There apparently are only a few news items in fashions at the moment worth shaking hands with, and even those bring on a bit of palsy. Lanvin benevolently slit a neckline down almost to the knee, which will put any one in a state who doesn’t have the well-known liy-white throat, and furthermore, will precipitate chronic tonsilitis. Schiaparelli slips us the over-hanging-eave silhouette, which is enough to give any one an optimistic exterior and posterior. The stiffer fabrics are drawn tightly across the front and whooped into overhanging bustle “eaves.” Sitting is not one of the occupations to be indulged in with this silhouette. Woman’s Purse Taken Mrs. Joseph E. Finley, 2308 Parker avenue, yesterday notified police that her purse containing $4 was stolen from the counter of a downtown store, where she left it for a few' minutes.
