CITY FLORISTS' BROTHER DEAD OF HEMORRHAGE Herbert Bertermann. Born in Indianapolis, Was Railroad Agent. Herbert Bertermann, 52. Cincinnati, fcative of Indianapolis and general passenger agent of the Big Four railroad, died in St. Louis. Mo., early last night after attending a meeting of railroad executives. While at the meeting he complained of being ill and was taken by James P. Cochran, assistant agent, to St. John's hospital, where he died at 5:15 of cerebral hemorrhage. He leaves his widow; three daughters, Helen, Dorothy and Evelyn, all of Cnicinnati; two brothers, Irwin C. and Walter H. Bertermann. Indianapolis florists, and four sisters, Mrs. A. W. Brandt and Mrs. Herman Jung. Indianapolis; Mrs. Arthur F. Hotchkiss. Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Clarence Hulett, Detroit. Mrs. Berterman went to St. Louis when she was informed of her husband's death. Relatives here said that while funeral arrangements have not been made, burial will be in Indianapolis. Mr. Bertermann was born in Indianapolis and was employed by the Lake Erie & Western railroad when he was 16. He visited here frequently and had a wide circle of friends in this city. He was a member of the Seventh Presbyterian church, Cincinnati. Ford Funeral Set Funeral servicos for Edward A. Ford, of 5601 Central avenue, attorney and insurance man, who died unexpectedly of heart disease yesterday morning at his desk in the Fletcher American building, will be neld at 9 a. m. Monday at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic church. Burial will be at Holy Crass cemetery. Mr. Ford was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, where he attended the public schools and Indiana Law School. He had been in law practice about sixteen years and was associated with his partner, Edward J. Scoonover. more than twentyfive years. The firm was a representative of the Independence Indemnity Company and the Independent Underwriters. Mr. Ford was a member of the Rotary Club, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the St. Joan of Arc church. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Alma Louise Ford; two daughters, Miss Rosemary Ford and Mrs. Clifford R. Voges, and three sisters, Mrs. Otto * Frank, Mrs. Arthur Thomas and Mrs. John L. Cox, all of Indianapolis. Harrington Rites Set Last rites for Thomas Harrington, 83. of 928 Wright street, whose body was taken from White river near Kentucky avenue yesterday, will be held in the J. C. Wilson funeral home, 1230 Prospect street. Monday morning at 10. Burial will be in Washington Park cemetery. Mr. Harrington was born in Kentucky. Surviving him are the widow. Mrs. Geneva Harrington; two daughters. Mrs. Frank ' Poggemeyer. Indianapolis, and Mrs. Ruth Yelton. San Antonio. Tex., and three sons, Marshall Harrington and Arthur Harrington. Indianapolis, and Roy Harrington. San Antonio. Native of Germany Dies Mrs. Mary Specker, a native of Germany, died yesterday at her farm home on the Hanna road, four miles south of she city, after a long illness. She had lived in Germany until after the marriage to Matthew Specker. who died Sept. 4. They came to Indianapolis forty years ago and have lived here since then. She was a member of St. Paul s Lutheran church. Surviving her are seven daughters. Mrs. John P. Nunn, Columbus, O.; Mrs. John Bixler, Mrs. Otto Marback, Mrs. Leo Herner, Mrs. Fred Sedam, Mrs. Foy Smith and Miss Fannie Specker, all of Indianapolis, and four sons, Fred W. Specker, Houston. Tex.; Charles K. Specker. George J. Specker and Chris A. Specker. all of thus city. Funeral arrangements will be completed today.
George Funeral Set Last rites for Mrs. Katherine George. 81. a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, who died yesterday in the Indianapolis Home for Aged Women, will be held at the home tomorrow morning. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery. She was born here in a house one-half block south of Washington street, on ground now occupied by the L. S. Ayres & Cos. department store, a daughter of Wesley and Mervina George. She is survived by two half sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth George. Indianapolis, and Mrs. Salome Mansfield, Coatesville, Pa. Dyar Funeral Held Mrs. Lida Dyar. mother of Mrs. M. F. Ault. 5606 University avenue, died at her home in Louisville yesterday morning. Brief funeral services were, held at Mrs. Ault's home this morning at 10:30. Tire body was taken to Kokomo where services will be held in the cemetery chapel at 2. Mrs. Dyar was born in Knoxville, Tenn.. in 1838. out lived most of her life in Kokomo. Surviving her in addition to Mrs. Ault are two sons. J. Howard Dyar and E. A. Armstrong, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Elsabeth A. Ellis and Miss Barbara Dyar. Indianapolis. Mrs. Sarah Maher Dies Following a long illness. Mrs. Sarah Maher. 70. of 1230 North Delaware street, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, died yesterday in St. Vincent's hospital. She lived with her brother. John H. Maher, retired telegraph operator. Ffinpral services will be held in SS. Peter and Paul cathedral, of which she was a member. Besides the brother she is survived by three nephews. William E. Maher. Joseph A Maher and Norris Maher, all of Indianapolis.
