the rich a* it is to the poor, William Cardinal O'Connell Sunday warned Catholics not to be swayed ing the Rev. Charles E Coughlin, by “hysterical harangue.” Although not specifically mentionthe cardinal's remarks before the St. Vincent De Paul society obviously were directed against his speeches. "There are plenty of men, leadj ing bankers, who are as honest as ‘ the sun.” he said. "Let us be careful not to make our applications too sweeping just because a man happens to be at the head of a large banking establishment. Do not attack him as though he were a criminal. That is not just. “You can not be unjust to the i rich and just to the poor. You I must be just to the rich and the
poor. . . . Violence will always beget violence. "The great work we have to do is to convince those who deal with money to deal with it honestly, as most bankers do. The government of the country will see to it without partisanship governing this side or that. It will bring about a proper administration of money that will be of tremendous advantage, but it will not be done by violence or by, I should say, hysterical harangue.” Two Watches Stolen Hearing a rear door slam, Orville Cotton. 907 North Butler avenue, investigated and found thieves had stolen two watches, 150 pennies and other articles, he reported to police Saturday night.
