LAKES TO ADD BEAUTY SPOTS IN STATE HILLS 8 Reservoirs to Be Built in Southern Indiana by Forest Army. Southern Indiana's and woodland j hills will be transformed into a : land of lakes, according to plans announced today by Virgil M. Simmons. state conservation commis- j sioner. Eight lakes, ranging in area from eight to twenty-one acres, will be created in the state forest reserves in Brown county, Morgan-Monroe, Henryville and Harrison county. In announcing the project-s. Mr.i Simmons pointed out that the one drawback to the scenic beauties of j southern Indiana has been the lack ! of water, there being neither rivers nor lakes among the hills there. Bathing, Fishing Plannpd “We will impound the water and form the lakes,” he said. ‘The plans also include erection of bath houses, camp sites on the shore, boat piers and all the other equipment that goes with state parks. "Our fish hatcheries will stock all lakes and we expect them to be fine fishing grounds.” Cast to the state will be little or j nothing. Mr. Simmons pointed out, t since the work of building dams j to impound the watpr and other j construction will be carried out by the civilian conservation corps. Fire Towers Built These camps, financed by the federal government, have 5,800 in attendance in the various locations this winter, he pointed out. Other work of the conservationists includes building fire towers, cutting fire lanes, trails and roads through the forests. Thpre are thirty camps throughout the state, The reforestation program will mean setting out 25.000,000 seedling trees now being grown in thirty nurseries created by the campers, according to Mr. Simmons.

STOP THAT COLD THE FIRST DAY! A cold once rooted is a cold of danger! Trust to no makeshift methods. A cold, being an internal infection, calls for internal treatment. A cold also calls for a COLD remedy and not a preparation good for a number of other things as well. Grove’s Laxative Bromo Quinine is what a cold requires. It is expressly a cold remedy. It is internal and direct—and it does the four things necessary. It opens the bowels, combats the cold germs and fever in the system, relieves the headache and grippy feeling and tones and fortifies the entire system. Anything less than that is inviting trouble. Get Grove's Laxative Bromo Quinine at any druggist, 30c and 50c. Ask for it by the full name and accept no substitute on any pretext.—Advertisement.
