RAIL ELEVATION 'PLANS ARE SET BY CIVIC CLUBS South Side Group to Seek Meeting With City Officials. Conference with city officials will be sought by South Side Civic Clubs track elevation committee before the conference with Pennsylvania and New York Central officials Tuesday, it was decided at a meeting of the committee last night. The conferences are in connection with the committee's project for elevating the belt railroad on the south and west sides. A loan and grant of $.6,000,000 is sought in a petition t which has been filed with the Indiana advisory committee to the federal public works administration. With the federal grant taking care of 30 per cent of the cost of the project, the city would be compelled to pay only $1,428,000 of the total, the county spending $672,000 and the

Police say Mrs. Shane, in a deathbed statement, named White as her assailant. Held on Robbery Charge Robbery and grand larceny charges today were faced by Mike Hayes, 28, of 1224 English avenue, arrested yesterday by detectives, who said he was alleged to have accosted Walter C. Hixon, 1618 Prospect street, several days ago on the street, taking $35 from him.
