500 Guests to Attend Club Dance Dinner Parties Scheduled to Precede Event Saturday. Dinner parties will precede the subscription dance, to be given Saturday night at the Indianapolis Country Club by Muss Jeannette Cra.t and Mrs. Wayne D. Kinnalrd. Five hundred invitations were issued for the dance, for which Louis Lowe and his orchestra will play. Miss Jane Roemler and Donald McGibeny will sing in specialty numbers. A Dutch treat, dinner party will include Miss Craft, Mr. and Mrs. Kinnalrd, John Gordon Kingham, Messrs, and Mesdames William N. Wilson, Elijah B Martindale and Cortland Van Camp Martindale. Visitors will be honored by Mr. and Mrs. Norman Metzger and Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Bigler. Mr. and Mrs. Metzger’s guests will be Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Colborn of Pasadena, Cal. With Mrs. Henry E. Miller of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Bigler's guests will be Messrs fcnd Mesdames J. Charles Schaf, D\ Hawkins, Mr. McGibeny. Benjamin Claypool, Wilfred K. Krauss and William Young. FOUR SORORITIES ARRANGE DANCE Representatives from four sororities will meet at 8 tonight at the Seville Tavern to complete plans for a dance to be held Oct. 28 at the K. of C. auditorium. The committee on arrangements includes Misses Louise Harter and Louise Smith, co-chairman. Theta Chi Omega; Miss Merle Garner and Mrs. Charles Shelburn. orchestra, Alpha chapter. Honor Alice Atherton Miss Martha Peterseim entertained Wednesday night in honor of Miss Alice Atherton who will leave soon for Gainsville, Fla. Nurses Will Be Entertained at Musical Party Visiting women attending the convention of the American Public Health Nursing Association, which opens Monday at the Washington, will be honor guests at a tea at 2; 30 Monday afternoon at the John Herron Art institute. The affair is under auspices of the woman’s auxiliary to the Indianapolis Medical Society, and all members of the auxiliary will serve as hostesses at the tea. Dr. Charles P. Emerson, guest speaker, will give a travel talk. A musical program will be presented by Miss Fannie Kiser, harpist, and Miss Bernice Reagan, violinist. Card Party Slated Ladies Society of the Indianapolis Sangerbund will hold a card party at 8 Sunday night at the hall, 49 South Delaware street, with Mrs. Lydia Scheer in charge.

‘WORKING WOMEN’ NAME IS CHANGED The name of the National Association of Working Women was changed to National Association of Women at the first fall meeting Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Florence Thacker. The resolution was presented by Mrs. Thacker and Mrs. Ida Broo after conferences last summer with national officers. Mrs. B. B. McDonald, president, was in charge of the business meeting. A social hour followed. War Mothers Meet Mrs. Ralph E. Kennigton will preside at the meeting of the Marion county chapter, American War Mothers, at 1:30 Tuesday at the Columbia Club.

Women of War Will Fete Guest Overseas League to Hold Meeting Saturday at Spink-Arms. Women from Indiana. Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia who took part in the World war will meet Saturday night at the Spink-Arms, with Miss Faustlne Dennis of Washington as honor guest. Miss June Gray, national vicepresident, from the Fifty corps area, will preside at the meeting which is under auspices of the Women's Overseas Service League. Hoosier and Indiana units will act as hostesses to the representatives from the five Ohio units, Kentucky and West Virginia members. Miss Leafie Williamson of the local group is in charge of rooms and registration. A dinner will be served the attending members. Service overseas with one of the allies, between the years 1914 and 1920, with honorable discharge, precludes membership in the league. The work carried on by the various units of the league includes aiding disabled men and women veterans, providing magazines for the civilian conservation camps, finding suitable occupation for the disabled and providing speakers and asssisting patriotic organizations. All work is voluntary. The group maintains a gift and loan fund, acts as hostessses for the citizens’ military training camps and also trains younger women for this work. DANCE TO MARK GROUP BIRTHDAY Thirteenth anniversary of Delta Zeta Psi sorority will be observed with a dance tonight at the Avalon Country Club. Misses Evelyn Alexander, Mabel Hammens, Anita Craft, Rosemary Lawler, Bernice McCoy, Hilda Alexander and Lillian Schuck are arranging the affair. Johnny Reddell and his Silver Nite Hawks will provide the music, and invitation is extended to members and their friends and guests. Mrs. Garten to Talk Mrs. Kathryn Turney Garten will open her book talk class Oct. 19 at the Propylaeum Club with a class at 10:30 Thursday mornings. The class will continue for twelve weeks.

Mrs. Richard Sears and Mrs. A. C. Cunkle entertained at luncheon and bridge today at the Officers Club for Mrs. George Jamerson. Brigadier-General and Mrs. Jamerson of Ft. Benjamin Harrison will leave soon to make their home in Richmond. Va. Several other parties are planned for Mrs. Jamerson. Mrs. Milton O. Bocne will give an informal bridge party Tuesday night and Mrs. E. A. Routheau and Mrs. F. C. McCleary will entertain Wednesday with a bridge tea. Two parties will be given Thursday with Mrs. Sterline Crim, Mrs. Charles Lewis and Mrs. Lloyd Bunting entertaining at bridge in the afternoon and Mrs. Jerome G. Harris giving a bridge party at her home at night. Mrs. Winfield W. Sisson and Mrs. Nordlohs Entertain Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Nordloh entertained at dinner Wednesday night for their daughter, Miss Mildred Nordloh and Robert N. Howerton, whose marriage will take place Saturday.
