We Do Our Part—and More! WE DO OUR PART A $137304 i Increase in Pay Roll! Since August first, our increase in employees and wages has produced an increased pay roll at the rate of $137,804 per year, and we believe that this will increase even further in the future. This means our employees will have more money to spend. We Add More Employees: Although we retained a very large proportion of our employees during the dull times, we have already added many names to our pay roll since August first, or 114 in excess of this time a year ago. We hope within the next fit) days to have a number equal to the highest peak in our 37 years of business. That, too, builds greater buying power. We Follow the President: In spirit, as well as to the letter, we carry out the wishes of the President, doing everything we can to aid in the return of prosperity. We Hold Prices Down: We pass on to our customers every possible saving in purchases. Every contract we placed before commodity prices skyrocketed means lower prices than you’d expect to pay. Block’s will protect your pocketbook to the limit of their ability. We Maintain Quality: We believe that it is more important than ever to sell quality merchandise up to Block’s standard; we feel that good quality is the least expensive thing you can buy.
