strings of bass, channel cat and coarse fish are reported. Banks of streams are dry and firm, making for some excellent camp sites. Warden Marksbury, Wavne. Randolph and Henry Counties—Streams are muddy and the fishing poor. Warden Bennett, Martin and Davies Counties Both forks of Whi'e river low and clear. Fair catches of bass blue gill and catfish reported. Not many fishing during the week. Warden Herron. Bartholomew I County All streams are murky, but some real catches are being made, on White and Driftwood rivers and Sand creek Unless an excessive rain interfers, fishing in the.se streams should be good over the week-end. Warden Casady. Shelby County— Streams in this locality arc muddy, and the fishing is poor. Some fine camp sites are available along the Ffiatrock river Hunters have b?en scarce, the hot weather keeping them out of the woods. Warren Burnett. Vincennes— White river muddy, Wabash clear. Rivers ar<- in i>oor condition for fishing. Warden StJne, Green and Monroe Counties—White river. Salt. Richland. Beanblossom. Plummer and Indian creeks arc low. Aug 4-A code providing minimum wages and maximum working hours for the electric and gas industries will be completed today and submitted to NRA headquarters at Washington. Lloyd L Carlisle, chairman of the special code committee of the Edison Electric Institute, announced. "The code will be cxcuted this afternoon and delivered to the administration Saturday morning, based upon a forty-hour maximum week and minimum rates provided in the President’s blanket notice," Carlisle said. Daniel J. Tobin Refuses U. S. Public Works Job
Labor Leader Declines to Serve as Regional Director. Indianapolis labor leaders today accepted calmly the announcement of Daniel J. Tobin, city labor leader, that he had declined his appointment as regional midwest administrator for the federal public works program. Rumors that Tobin would refuse to serve were prevalent in Indianapolis for some time, and announcement of the action late Thursday by his office came as no surprise to city labor circles. Tobin at present is on a "tour of the east," and has no forwarding
