TRIO OF HOLDUP GANG SUSPECTS HELD IN CELLS 14 Robberies Are Laid to Band: Charged With London Stickup. A cleanup of fourteen robbery cases, Including the Leslie Colvin Construction Company holdup at 8400 Spring Mill roan. July 7, on the estate of Hugh MrK. Landon. was announced by city detectives today. Three of five men charged with being members of the alleged gang are in jail in Indianapolis and the other two are held in Muncie. Police announced that they have obtained statements from two of the five men under arrest. The prisoners are Richard Turner, 21, and his father, James Turner. 51, of 2039 Ludlow avenue; Paul' Parker, 21, of 1233 East Sixteenth street; William Shaw, 19, of 1225 North State avenue, and Noble Ciaycomb, 30, of 1223 North State avenue. Parker, arrested with Ciaycomb and Shaw in Muncie, was returned to Indianapolis by detectives Sunday. Richard Turner and his father were arrested last week and news of their capture suppressed until police had succeeded in rounding up the others. Shaw and Claycomb are held in Muncie. The gang which robbed the construction company on the Landon estate was composed of Parker, Richard Turner, Ciaycomb and Shaw, police assert. In the robbery the gang missed a pay roll of several thousand dollars by three minutes. They robbed Ray Mobley, manager of the construction company, of $75 and, disgruntled because he had only change on his person, kicked Landon as they made their getaway. In all of the robberies, the bandits used a stolen car, or one belonging to a member of the gang, according to the police.
