Marion county men whose pleas for parole or commutation of sentence in the Indiana state prison or reformatory will be heard May 3 to 5 by the state commission of clemency include the following in the prison: Charles Irwin, life term for murder, who was sentenced Dec. 19, 1022; Claude Parker, ten years, bank forgery; Charles E. Lafollette, ten to twenty-one years, robbery and grand larceny; Prank Meyles, robbery; Vincent Perdien, auto banditry, ten years, and Frank Randles, criminal attack, life term. Reformatory prisoners to present pleas include Charles Ashley, serving a ten-year term for robbery, and Ashton Burnett, fifteen years for robbery. Symons to Talk on Gold Luther P. Symons, former state banking commissioner, will be the speaker for the monthly meeting of the Butler-Fairview Civic Association, to be held tonight in the Pairview Presbyterian church. He will discuss effect, of ending the gold standard. Utility rates and the modernization campaign will be discussed.
