T.N,TAYLOR IS OPPOSED AS UNION'S CHIEF Grip on Presidency Faces Contest First Time in Several Years. Grip of Thomas N. Taylor, Terre Haute, on the presidency of the Indiana Federation of Labor, will bn contested for the first time in several years, it was revealed Noday as plans for the federation election May 15 to June 15 were announced. Running in opposition to Taylor is Louis Hart. Lafayette. Both are ■members of the painters’ union. All other candidates, including Adolph Fritz, incumbent secretary, are unopposed. Seventy thousand ballots will be mailed out May 1 from state headquarters here. SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWED $5,000 Fund Is Bequeathed Purdue l>v Cambridge Woman. !’•!' 1 mini I'rrti LAFAYETTE, Ind.. April 21. A $5,000 scholarship from the estate oi the late Mrs. Kate Comey, Cambridge, Mass., was accepted late Thursday by the Purdue university board of trustees. Income from the fund will provide SIOO scholarships for a senior and graduating student each year. Jr. c. of C. Incorporated Papers incorporating the Indianapolis Junior Chamber of Commerce Acre filed Thursday with the secretary of state. Incorporators include Henry Gibson, Elmon Williams, Allison Falendcr, Myron Feinberg, Norman Neely, Leon Wilson, Laurence Winegerter, Francis Fee, Edwin Hobson, Evan Walker and George V. Miller.
