STATE'S ROADS IN GOOD SHAPE FOR SUMMER Traffiic Is Given Impetus by Warm Weather of Past Few Days. The Indiana state highway commission today announced that roads throughout Indiana are in splendid shape for the spring and summer traffic which has been given added Impetus by several days of fair weather. Two new detours have been added with new paving projects being started. There is a detour on State Road 21 near Webster. The other one is on State Road 25 between West Point and Odell. Other detours on account of construction in-' elude the following: Road 3—Detour from Junction of Roads 3 5 and 18 to 2 5 miles north of Road 118 account paving. 13 miles via Warren; fair gravel road. Road s—From the junction of Roads 3 5 and 18. use same detour as listed S|pr Road 3. Road 7 Detour from east citv limits of Columbus south, account of grading and resurfacing. Is eight mile:, good grave! • Road 16—Detour from Markle to one miie east of Huntington, account of constmction. Is 11.5 miles, fair grave! U. April 14.—A clock purchased from a merchant twenty-one years and three months ago stopped after runing continuously and keeping virtually perfect time for that entire period. The clock was returned to the store by the Rev. L. L. Felder, formerly of Cleburne and now presiding elder of the Weatherford Methodist district and living in Weatherford. In an accompanying letter the elder declared he was returning the timepiece to the store for its value as a symbol of service.
