MAYOR APPEALS TO ALL TO JOIN IN WORK DRIVE Modernization Movement Is Incorporated: Borinstein Named President. Asserting that thr nation's business leaders are predicting higher prices on building materials. Mayor Reginald H. Sullivan today appealed for Indianapolis citizens to join the city-wide modernization campaign. He explained that property owners should take advantage of low material prices by repairing homes and other properties during the campaign. April 22 to May 5. Plans for the drive to enlist property owners in the drive were laid before 5.000 volunteer workers at a meeting of leaders in the Columbia Club Tuesday night. Mayor Sullivan was the principal speaker. Louis J. Borinstein, campaign chairman, announced articles had been filed with the secretary of state incorporating the Indianapolis Modernization Movement. Borinstein was named director and president of the corporation. Other directors were named as follows: M. K. Foxworthy of the Indianapolis Coal Company, secretary; Fred C. Dickson. Indiana Trust Company president, treasurer; Charles W. Chase, Indianapolis Railways, Inc., and Henry L. Dithmc Polar Icp and Fuel Company, president, other directors. "The campaign now is on thorough legal and business basis,” Charles F. Coffin, legal and legislative chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, said after he filed the articles of incorporation.
