Fifteen hundred embryo collegians, their parents and high school teachers, attended the annual "high school day" exercises of Indiana Central college today. The program opened at 10 in the college auditorium with musical i Umbers and talks by officers of the student body and President I. J. Grvxl. A picnic lunch was served at noon to the high school students. Twenty teams were to participate in the United Brethcrn Sunday school basketball tourney this afternoon. A minstrel show and inspection of the college dormitories, classrooms, and campus was to conclude the day. Youths Given Heavy Terms I BRAZIL. Tnd., March 31.—Curtis -ninth of Terre Haute, were under sentence of ten to twenty-five years each in Indiana state prison today. They were convicted on charges of auto banditry, but police said they robbed a clothing store here March 7.

Assessor Job in Doubt By Timra f-prrinl PITTSBURGH. Kan.. March 31. —Crawford county is undecided whether it has a county assessor. Frank B. Davidson was elected to the post in the November election, but at the same time citizens voted to abolish the office. County commissioners since have refused to accept his bond. Davidson plans to present a suit to the state supreme court.
U. S. DISBURSING OFFICER GONE; START SEARCH Lieut.-Col. Young Missing Since March 20: on Job Since 1926. Mysterious disappearance of Lieu-tenant-Colonal Robert T. Young. United States disbursing officer for the Indiana national guard, is being investigated by both state and national governments, it was learned today. Colonel Young disappeared from the office of Adjutant-General Elmer F. Straub at the statehouse March 20. an hour after representatives of the comptroller-general's office prepared to audit his books. He lived at 2815 Walker avenue, and his wife, who was at the ad-jutant-general's office Thursday, said she did not know his whereabouts. Colonel Young is a retired regular army officer, having had thirty years in the regular service, including both the Spanish-American and World wars. A native of Noblesville, he took a commission in the guard in 1923 and rose to the rank of lieutenantcolonel on the division staff. Young handled between $5,000 and $15,000 in federal funds monthly and around $130,000 during the annual guard encampment. of stamps they expect to use during the next three months. It was reported Berghoff Products Company of Ft. Wayne, first brewery to secure a federal permit to manufacture beer, estimates an output of 30.000 barrels of beer during April. May and June. Officials of the company have estimated they will need $150,000 worth of stamps for the threemonth period. The federal tax is $5 on each 31 gallons manufactured. Washington officials have informed the local internal revenue office that only a limited supply of stamps are available. American archeologists digging at Troy have found a mysterious area outside the walls, containing many human and animal bones apparently burned, and it is tentatively thought that this may explain the Trojan burial customs.
