Gov. and Mrs. McNutt to Be Guests of Honor at Propylaeum’s Musicale Program for 2:30 Monday at Clubhouse Has Been Arranged by Pauline Schellschmidt; Guest Artists to Play. Governor and Mrs. Paul V. McNutt will be guests of honor at the musicale of the Propylaeum Club at 2:30 Monday in the clubhouse, 1410 North Delaware street. 'I he program arranged by Miss Pauline Schellschmidt will include her review of '‘Boccaccio" by Franz von Supper, illustrated by several artists. Guest musicians will be Mesdames Ruth Devin, Lissa Cox. Robert Blake, Frank T. Edenhartcr, Louise Schellschmidt-Koehne and Misses Maud Custer and Virginia Leycnberger.

The Parent-Teacher Association of School 8 will hold its February meeting at 3:15 Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Wayne O. Hill will speak on the care of children's teeth. A trumpet duet will be provided by Rex and Josepnine Best, and a vo- *' solo by Mrs. Bernice Vaught. A program of community singing will be a feature of a patriotic service to be held by the association of School 10 at 3:15 Wednesday afternoon. School 14 will hold its meeting at 3:10 Wednesday'. Mrs. W. E. Balch. second vice-president of the Farrnt Teacher fe-dcration, will speak on legislative measures of interest to parent-teacher patrons. A group of piano numbers will be given by Harry Bason, and there will be a program of songs by the children’s chorus. Tea and a social hour will follow. Mrs. S. M. Myers, president of the Parent-Teacher Federation will speak on "The Legislative Program of the P. T. Ts” at school 20 at 3:15 Wednesday. Piano duct will be provided by Misses Elizabeth Hardy and Irene Bentley,and a group of readings by Miss Lillian Hardy. S. O. Belzer will speak on the subject of Boy Scouts at school 21 at 2.30 Wednesday, assisted by demonstrations by scouts of the neighborhood. Mrs. James L. Murray, second vice-president and legislative chairman of the Indiana Congress of Parents and Teachers, will also speak on the legislative measures of interests to parents. Mrs. Clayton Ridge will speak at school 30 at 2:45 Wednesday afternoon. A group of readings will be given by Mrs. Fred Wright, and a vocal solo by Miss Betty Star. A program of games will be given by the children of the school. Dr. W. L. Richardson, dean of the Butler university college of education, will speak on the "Child in the Home” at School 33 Wednesday. A musical program will be given by the intermediate chorus and glee club. An informal tea welcoming the mothers new to the school will follow the meeting. School 35 will hold its meeting at 2:30 Wednesday. A sketch of the life of Washington will be given by Mrs. Charles Kock. and the life of Lincoln by Mrs. Esther Cline. A group of seven pupils of the school will give a sketch of the life of Longfellow, followed by a portrayal of "The Village Blacksmith." Community singing of patriotic songs will compose the musical program. Emmet A. Rise, assistant principal of Short ridge high school, will speak on "Educational Progress in the Indianapolis Schools at the meeting of School 36 at 3:05 Wednesday. A miscellaneous program in charge of the parents will be given at school 46 at 2:30 Wednesday. Mrs. Helen Morton will give a group of readings, and James Watson Graham a group of songs at School 51 at 3 Wednesday. Parents, new to the school, especially are urged to attend. Dr. John Carmack will give a health talk at School 53 at 3:03 Wednesday. Meeting Election of delegates to the continental congress which meets in Washington in April, will be held at the meeting of the Caroline Scott Harrison chapter of the D. A. R. at the chapter house at 2 Wednesday. Mrs. Maurice E. Tennant, regent, will preside. Frederick Van Nuys, United States senator, will give an address. Mrs. Paul V. McNutt, W’ife of the Governor, and wives of members of the senate and house of representatives will be honored at a reception, given from 8 to 10 Tuesday night in the Riley room of the Claypool by the Marion County Democratic Woman's Club. All Democratic women are invited to attend. In the receiving line with Mrs. McNutt will be Mrs. Fred Van Nuys, Prof. Haramy Will Address Church Group Professor James Haramy of the Indiana Central college wiil be guest speaker at the night meeting of the Woman's Association of the Irvington Methodist church to be held at 8 Thursday in the church parlors. Professor Haramy will talk on "What Is a Man Worth?" A night meeting, instead of the usual afternoon gatherings, is being held in order that the business women of the organization may attend. Husbands and friends of the association are invited. Mrs. James Fisher will have charge of the devotions. The program will include the following songs by Mrs. Everett C. Johnson, soloist: “Rain," "Sunny Boy,” and “The Holiday." Preceding the meeting a dinner is scheduled at 6:15 in the church social room. Mrs. Roy H. Kirshbaum to Give Dance at Center Sunday A basketball dance will be the entertainment Sunday night at Kirshbaum Community Center, following two games. General chairmen are Harry P. Wolf, head of the entertainment committee, and Dr. Philip Falender of the athletic committee. Their aids are Mrs. Falender, Messrs, and Mesdames Jack Goldberg, Alvin Goldsmith and Rudolph Schricber, athletic director. Music for the dance will be furnished by the Patent Leather Kids, beginning at 9. The second annual co-operative carnival will be held Feb. 12 at the, center, with virtually all Jewish organizations in the city taking part. Wolf is general chairman.
MRS. DAVID ROSS IS TO GIVE BOOK TALK
Mrs. David Ross will be presented by the American Association of University Women in the fifth of a series of book talks at 7:45 Tuesday night in the Rauh Memorial library. Mrs. Ross is a manuscript reader at Bobbs-Merrill Publishing Cos. Mrs. Ross will give a summarv and comparison of the following books: “March of Democracy,” by James Truslo'w Adams; “Fighting the Business Depression,” by Roger W. Babsen; “The Crisis of Capitalism in America,” by M. J. Born, and ‘The A. B C. of Technocracy,” by Frank Arkwright.
