A cold ordinarily passes through three stages—the Dry Stage, the first 24 hours; the Watery Secretion Stage, from 1 to 3 days; and the Mucous Secretion Stage. Relief is twice as easy in the first stage. For prompt relief take a couple of Grove’s Laxative Bromo Quinine immediately upon catching cold. This will usually expel the cold overnight and thus prevent th§ spread of the infection within your system. Grove’s Laxative Bromo Quinine is effective because it does the four, things necessary. It opens the bowels. Kills the cold germs and fever in the system. Relieves the headache and gippy feeling. Tones the entire system and fortifies against further attack. Grove’s Laxative Bromo Quinine is absolutely safe to take. Contains no narcotics and produces no bad after effects. It is regarded the world over as the standard cold tablet. Comes in handy, pocket size box, cellophane-wrapped. For sale in every drug store in America. Make it your first-aid in all cases of colds and grippe. Beware of substitutes. I have one to offer which goes them all one better. On August 22, 1931, my physical condition forced me to seek medical aid. After being alarmed by a local physician I sought and found a doctor who rates one of the leading reputations in Hudson County. ‘‘On above date I weighed 242 lbs. only 5 ft. 4!4 inches in height. BOLTS HIS LUNCH 0 —but his digestion is "clicking" What the man with a “cast-iron stomach” really has is six-hour digestion. If you suffer from a slow stomach, taking soda won’t help matters. Do this: Get some diapepsin at the drug store. Each tablet saves the stomach half an hour’s work. If your digestion is an hour slow, two tablets after eating will correct it. No distress. Not even any gas or sourness. Take this precaution after every heavy or hurried meal until your stomach seems able to do its work without help. Pape’s Diapepsin has ended all food fear for many men and women who once had to pamper their stomachs.
