Yount, broker, of 4736 Washington boulevard, defendant in a replevin suit brought by Stephens, hopes to identify the dog as his own pet, “Fritz,” No Witness** Called Twenty witnesses werp to testify before Judge White decided the cav today. Stephens contends he bought "Fang” when a pup, from David M. Jordan, an Irvington resident. “It looks like the dog we sold to Stephens In 1931,” Mrs. Jordan testified. A police officer, called when Stephens found thp dog at the Yount homp, Sept. 30. supported Stephens’ testimony he had taught the dog many tricks. In Custody of Son "I saw the dog, at Stephens’ command, open a < door, bring a newspaper, go to the basement for a can of dog food and carry a pan from the yard into the house,” the officer declared. Stephens alleges his dog ran away three times. Last time, he charged, the dog was found at Yount's home, but broke, loose and jumped into his own car when he went for it. Until the trial ends, the dog will he in custody of Charles Stephens Jr., who brought it into court. The dog was in quarantine several days when Yount, supposedly had obtained an order from the health hoard. The quarantine ended when health authorities said the order was not official.

The story revolves around an unscrupulous and beautiful woman, who has had affairs with many men, and in one last mad gesture arranges a meeting whereby the wives and sweethearts of her victims will be present. Jenny Wren, portrayed by Miss Morley, has as her paramount motive extortion; however, the enjoyment of seeing her victims writhe at every word is an almost aesthetic delight. Her purpose—a showdown, which is climaxed by her doom. So skillfully did Bartlett Cot-mack and J. Walter Ruben write, and the latter direct “The Phantom of Crestwood,” that suspicion of having killed this adventuress is distributed among seventeen characters in the cast.
