•BIG RADIO MAN' GETS $25 FINE FOR SPEEDING “Famous Broadcaster” Listens to Judge as He Is Found Guilty. Bob Wahns, who says he is a "big radio broadcaster" Irom Chicago, received a short wave program today in the court ol Municipal Judge William H. SheafTer who didn't bother to inquire "Are you listenin’?” when he imposed a fine of $25 and costs for speeding. Arrested Sunday, Wahns in a sarcastic tone announced that he intended to give Indianapolis plenty of publicity on the air because of the city’s "courteous policemen.” However, Nolan Hill and William Rowe, motorcycle policemen, were not impressed by the promise, and gave Wahn a ride in the patrol wagon. Hill and Rowe, riding a motorcycle and side car. called the "tom cat." said they got up to seventyfive miles an hour on North Meridian street, but that wasn’t fast enough to catch Wahn, driving a large sedan. He was arrested when hr stopped at a garage.
