City Couple Married in Church Rites Mi Julia Bowman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George W. Bowman, 216 Berkley road, was married this morning to Edwin Hollis Leedy, son of Mrs. U. G. Leedy, 5206 Grandview drive, In a ceremony at the Tabernacle Presbyterian church with the Rev. J. Ambrose Dunlcel officiating. Mias Dorothea Hogle, organist, played a group of bridal airs preceding the ceremony. The church altar decorated with palms, ferns and white roses was lighted by seven-branched candelabra holding white tapers. Miss Mary Rose Lowry of Fortville sang “Speed Thee My Arrow,” and “My True Love,” Pi Beta sorority songs, 'Someday'' and "Because.” Wears White Net Gown The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white silk net, modeled tight to the knees and flared In a flounce to the floor, with a taffeta girdle and bolero jacket. Her tulle veil fell in a drape over the face. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses and baby breath. The maid of honor and bridesmaids all wore frocks of white organdy, fashioned identically with decollete backs, fitted lines and flares below the knees. Moire bands on their white straw picture hats, their moire slippers and sashes carried out the bridal colors of peach, orchid and green. All carried arm bouquets of Talisman roses and orchid baby breath, tied with ribbons matching their dress trimmings. Wears Orchid With Gown The gown of Miss Mary Isabelle Leedy, sister of the bridegroom, as maid of honor, was worn with orchid ribbons. The bridesmaids and their colors were Miss Dorothy Jane Lewis of Louisville, Ky., and Miss Helena Sipe, green, and Miss Lowry and Miss Lower, orchid. All wore Richelieu bracelets in the bridal colors, gifts of the bride. The flower girl, Nancy Lee Smith, wore white organdy and carried a basket of Talisman roses. The best man was Eugene Leedy, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were William Weiss, Kenneth Brugman, Calvin Hampton and Carroll Sipe. Mrs. Bowman wore a blue chiffon ensemble and a shoulder corsage of white roses. Mrs. Leedy’s gown was of bladk and white chiffon. She also wore a corsage of white roses. Wedding Breakfast Held An informal reception was held at the church, followed by a wedding breakfast at the Marott for the immediate families and bridal party. The table was centered with a plateau of white roses, surrounded with maidenhair fern. White tapers burned in silver candelabra. The couple left for a motor trip and. will be at home after Aug. 1 at 215 Berkley road. Mrs.. Leedy traveled in a brown batiste suit with tan accessories. Mrs. Leedy, who attended Butler university, is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mr. Leedy is a graduate of Butler. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Vern Buchanan of Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Hamilton and Misses Gretchen and Jean Hamilton of Gary; Mrs. Byron Lewis of Louisville, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Lowry of Fortville.

MRS, CLAYPOOL AND AUSTIN BROWN WED

Mrs. Elizabeth Nicholson Claypool, daughter of Meredith Nicholson, was married this morning to Austin H. Brown in a quiet ceremony at the Nicholson home, with only the immediate families attending. BOHANNONS LEAVE ON EUROPEAN TOUR Mr. and Mrs. James Alvin Bohannon and sons, James Alvin Bohannon Jr. and Benton Porterfield Bohannon, formerly residents of Indianapolis, sailed this morning from New York on the President Johnson for an extended European tour. Mr. and Mrs. Bohannon plan to disembark at Venice and travel on the continent. Their sons will continue on the ship for the remainder of the educational Mediterranean cruise. Camp Dellwood to Be Opened by Girl Scouts on Tuesday

Camp Dellw’ood, Girl Scout camp, siuated eight miles west of the city on Crawfordsville road, will open next Tuesday for the first period of ten days' camping. Approximately 140 gir's have registered for the period. This ten days of summer vacation will give the girls an opportunity to participate in a program of nature study, handicraft and many outdoor activities. Camp Dellwood is operated under the national Girl Scout camp rules and each year has seen the addition of buildings and such equipment which make for a more comprehensive camping program. The personnel includes Miss Jean Adamson, camp director; Miss Florence Stack, secretary, and a staff of senior counsellors which includes Mrs. William Hudson, Misses Clara Foxworthy, Martha Crawford, Hilda Dazell, Viola Clapper. Joan Sink, Ruth Otte. Betty Bowman, loma Hodson, Gladys Hooker, Catherine Crumpler, Mildred Jenkins and Dorothy Stoelting. The following list of junior counsellors have been appointed: Misses Betty Bell, Martha Fry, Anna Margaret Voorhies. Evelyn Willsey, Sarah Wills. Frances O’Neil, Florence Gipe. Millicent Coleman. A typical day at Camp Dellwood begins with reveille at colors at 7:15; breakfast at 7:30. and then inspections, and the unit program occupy the time until 11:30, when a free-for-all swim is held. - Luncheon is served at noon. A rest hour follows luncheon, along with unit programs, hobbies and retreat. Supper, campfire and taps complete the day's schedule.
