TAX BASE MUST BE BROADENED, BUSH DECREES Letter to City Realtors Reveals Stand of Lieu-tenant-Governor. Denouncing "tax dodgers who have organized to keep from paying their share of the tax burden,” Lieutenant-Governor Edgar D. Bush has declared he will sign no economy measures at the special legislative session until bills have been passed to "broaden the tax base." Bush's stand was made public in a letter to Dan W. Le Gore, president of the Indianapolis Real Estate Board. The realtors are seeking to limit the tax load on real estate and Bush said he would favor such a program.
