Miss Muir to Be Bride of Canadian In a candle-light ceremony at 8 tonight, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cnarlcs Muir, 3240 North New Jersey street, Miss Dorothy L. Muir will become the bride of James W. Bowman, Toronto, Canada. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joh i W. Bowman, Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada. The bride and bridegroom will kneel at the altar, arranged with greenery and ferns, lighted at each side with tapers in seven-branch candelabrae. The service will be read by the Rev. Oren W. Fifer. The casement of the stairway, down which the bridal procession will move, will be twined with ferns, and lighted with tapers at the landing. Program Arranged The processional and recessional will be played by Mrs. George F. Dailey, harpist, and Miss Margaret Harrison, violinist. They will also play a group of bridal numbers, including “Gamma of Alpha Phi,” “At Dawning," “I Love You Truly,” “Ich Liebe Dicht,” and ‘ My Delta Shelter.” The bride will be given in marriage by her brother, Dwight C. Muir, Whiting. Ind. Her gown of W’hite bridal satin will be designed with close-fitting lines and flowing skirt, with a short jacket. The jacket will have long sleeves, flounced to the elbow, and tight to the wrist. The bridal veil will be of Brussels net, edged with embroidered Brussels lace. The cap will be fashioned from the lace, and trimmed with orange blossoms. She will wear a platinum filgree brooch, set with diamonds, the gift of the bridegroom. Her flowers will be a shower of white roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Dolly Birk will be the maid of honor. She will wear a gown of yellow point d’esprit. Mrs. Dwight C. Muir, the bride’s sister-in-law, will be her matron-of-honor. Her gown will be of green point d’esprit. The bridesmaids will be Misses Virginia Cumberland, Mt. Grab, 0.. and Evelyn Muir, Carbon, Ind., cousins of the bride. They will wear identical gowns of tucked net over silk crepe. Miss Cumberland wearing pink and Miss Muir blue. Gowns to Be Alike The gowns of the attendants will all be fashioned alike, with full skirts flaring from fitted bodices. They will carry summer garden hats filled with flowers in the bride's colors, yellow, blue, and pink, with greenery twined about the streamers. All will wear white accessories. Their gowns will be trimmed with narrow ribbon bands at the waistline, with tailored bows at the back, matching the bows on their hats. The ribbons will be in shades contrasting with their gowns. Miss Birk wearing green ribbon with her yellow gown, Mrs. Muir yellow on green, Miss Cumberland blue on pink, and Miss Muir pink on blue. Jack Bowman, Richmond Hill, Ontario, will be best man for his brother. Ushers will be Gordon Sloane, Toronto, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Richard Cook, and Gilbert Morrison. Mrs. Muir, the bride's mother, will wear a lace gown, with a shoulder spray of summer flowers. A reception will follow the ceremony, after which the bride and bridegroom will leave for a honeymoon. They will be at home after July 1 at 45 Cheriton avenue, Toronto. The bride's traveling frock will be of black crepe, designed with white satin vestee draped to form ties in the back, with a short jacket, and three-quarter length sleeves, trimmed with the satin. She will wear a black hat stitched with white, and trimmed with a band of white ribbon. Attended Western College Out-of-town guests will include Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Mr. Bowman attended Harbord Collegiate institution at Toronto, and Ontario college at Guelf, Ontario. He is editor and publisher of the Express-Herald at Newmarket, Ontario. A dinner for the bridal party and the immediate families will be served preceding the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents The table will be centered with a wedding cake on a mound of flowers and greenery, and will be lighted with tapers in the pastel shades. GAMMA GROUP TO ENTERTAIN MONDAY Gamma chapter of Omega Nu Tau sorority will hold its annual formal banquet at 8 Monday at the Severin, in honor of initiates. P.E.O. Group Entertains at Picnic Supper Members of Chapter F.. P. E. O. Sisterhood, entertained their families with a picnic supper Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter T. White, 4202 Cold Springs road. An informal program was presented, and games provided entertainment. Approximately fifty members of the organization and their families attended. The committee in charge of arrangements was Mrs. John P. Whitmyre, Mrs. Gibson Adams, and Mrs. Cecil Stalnaker. A called meeting of the group was ! held at 2 in the afternoon preceding the picnic, to hear reports from the state convention held recently. Cheer Guild to Donate Clothes for Children Activities of the Riley hospital Cheer Guild will close for the summer with its annual round-up of children's clothing for the social service patients of Riley hospital, at the final meeting Tuesday. Needed garments include clothing j either new or used for boys and girls to the age of 16. All members of the Guild are urged to attend the meeting, and bring some article of clothing. The garments thus gathered will be used to supply the needs of the patients until the Guild reopens in September. Mrs. Charles Hogate is chairman of the hospital committee, assisted by Mrs. Warren Harrell and Mrs. J. M. Mitchell. PAIR LEAVING FOR SORORITY SESSION Mrs. Jpseph Higgins and Mrs. M. K. Miss Avis Vincent, daughter of Mrs. Emma L. Vincent, 37 West Twenty-first street, became the bride of Robert Ward Bryant of Newark, N. J., at noon today, at the North M. E. church. The Rev. W. W. Wiant officiated. Mrs. Bryant wore a fitted white chiffon gown with a jacket. She wore a braided white georgette picture hat, lace gloves and a shoulder corsage of gardenias and lilies of the valley. During the ceremony, Clarence Carson, organist, played “O Prayer of Love” and “To a Wild Rose.” The "Lohengrin” wedding march was played as the bride entered. Tudor Hall Personnel Announced The personnel of the teaching \ staff of the Tudor Hall school for girls for next year has been announced by Miss I. Hilda Stewart, principal. Miss Dora Atkins will continue in the kindergarten department. In the elementary school. Classes 1 and 2 will be taught by Miss Martha Gill, assisted by Miss Helen Hartinger; Classes 3 and 4 by Miss Lillian Reeves, and Classes 5 and 6 by Miss Elizabeth Chipman. A change in the organization for next year is that Classes 7 and 3 will be included in a junior high school, with the facilities of the senior high. The International Travel-Study Club, Inc., held its annual installation recently at Castle hall. Mrs. S. R. Artman and Mrs. Mae Marcum Jacobs were the installing officers. Isabella Daughters Unit toZ. Give Informal Summer Dance '
The Study Club unit of the Daughters of Isabella will entertain with an informal summer dance, Thursday night at the Christian Park community house. Mrs. Zola Rice Jones has been named general chairman of the affair, and will be assisted by a committee of twenty-five persons. . The dance will be the main social event of the year for the club. Members of the entire organization have been invited to attend. The hall will be decorated with summer flowers and colored lights.
