Perkins 111. field lecturer for the Maryland conservation department; Dr. Marcus Ward Lyon Jr., president of the American Society of Mammalogists, will talk on “Butler, the Mammaiogist”; Msgr. Francis H. Gavisk, member of the state board of charities, on “Butler, the Social Worker Dr. William A. Millis. former president of Hanover college, on "Butler, the Educator”; John 8. Wright, past president of the Indiana Academy of Science, and Dr. Fernadus Payne, now' president, on Butler’s work with that, organization; Dr. Earl Brooks, president of the Indiana Audubon Society, will speak on “Butler and the Indiana Audubon Society,” and Mrs. Demarchus C. Brown on “Butler. the Neighbor.” The year book of the Audubon So-

ciety is this year dedicated to Dr Butler and carries his biography and bibliography. Dr. Butler was one of the founders of the society. He also was a founder of the American Forestry Association, Society of Mammalogists and the Indiana Academy of Science. The Hamilton county nature study club has previously honored Dr. W. S. Blatchley and Dr. Stanley Coulter in a similar manner. TWIN FAWNS ARE BORN Mother Originated From Herd on Farm of Washington. Bv Science Service WASHINGTON. June 24.—Twin fawns have been bom at the United States national zoological park here to a doe originating from the herd of Virginia deer at Mt. Vernon. It is believed that this herd was founded by George Washington. Twin births are infrequent among deer. Another recent arrival at the zoo is a baby soa lion, the first to be born here in many years.
