SUPFS-3ABINET PLAN REJECTED Raskob Proposal Is Given Brief Consideration. Bit United Press WASHINGTON, June 9—Chairman John J. Raskob of the Democratic national committee has laid before leaders of both parties a proposal for an emergency coalition cabinet to function with extraordinary powers during the congressional adjournment. The United .Press was informed by senators to whom the plan was broached that it had been given brief consideration and rejected. Raskob is said to have proposed that the super-cabinet consists of the present cabinet, representatives of the house and senate and a number of prominent Democrats. Republicans would have had a majority. Owen D. Young was named by Raskob as one Democrat who should be included in the extraordinary setup. Such men as Alfred E. Smith, James M. Cox, Newton D. Baker, Bernard Baruch and John W. Davis also would have represented the nonofhee holding democracy around the cabinet table. President Hoover recently repudiated the super-cabinet idea. GET MUNCIE CASE BOND Securities for Release of Massey and Ellis Posted. Bonds for release of Frank Massey, Muncie police chief, and Fred Ellis, safety board member, who were convicted of conspiracy to violate the federal prohibition law, were posted Thursday by the Fidelity and Guaranty Surety Company of Baltimore. Massey’s bond had been set at SIO,OOO and that of Ellis at $5,000. Os the group of eleven tried, two remain in jail. They are Ernest Flatters and Fred Kubeck.

Liddle, Aurora, conductor; Ed Wilkens, Peru, inside guard; O. E. McHenry, Whiting, outside guard; trustees: Mayor H. Karl Volland of Columbus and Lyle Miller; delegates to national convention, Clarence G. Ryan, Evansville, retiring state president, and Stewart. Raskob, chairman of the Democratic national committee, has paid his pledge of SIOO,OOO to the party's $1,500,000 victory fund, report of the assistant treasurer of the committee to the clerk of the house of representatives revealed today. Raskob’s payment was accomplished by the cancellation and surrender of two promissory notes of $50,000 each, converting his pledge into an outright gift, the report dis- ; closed.
