DAIRY FARMER ENDS OWN LIFE Hangs Self When Profits Fail to Materialize. John De Hoope, who would have reached his 36th birthday Wednesday, commuted suicide by hanging early today in a barn on the Ca.*h Bottom ley farm, R. R. 8. near Beech Grove, where he was a tenant. Although De Hoope had nearly SIOOO in cash, relatives expressed belief that failure to make profits from a venture in the dairy business caused the suicide. He had forty cows on the farm and is said to have been discouraged because the price of milk was too low for profit. The body was discovered by the widow. The couple has two sons. Remk, 2 years old. and Samuel, 3 months old. John Bennett, 12. Beech Grove, who worked at the farm, said he saw the noose which De Hoope ured to end his life, while he was gathering eggs in the barn late Monday. Leaping from a second-story window at 2302’i East Washington street. John Langer. 33. committed suicide Monday night. L. W. Brock, who told Dr. E R. Wilson, deputy coroner, that he tried to prevent the suicide, said Danger had been drinking heavily during the dav Langer, formerly a Pennsylvania railroad switchman, was an employe of an automobile factory. He leaves a brother, Ed Langer, living in Chicago. WOMAN IS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN ACCIDENT Autnmohire Turns Over Twice and Lands on Its Wheels.
