NOTED COACH TO TALK TO MEN'S GLASS SUNDAY Franklin College Choir Will Sing at Third Christian Church. Alfred W. Place, noted coach, will apeak on "In the List of Winners," before the Christian Men Builders class of the Third Christian church Sunday morning. Place was raised on a stock farm in Ohio, where he broke wild ponies. This training gave him a strong body, when he entered Bethany college, and while there he won the all-round championship gold medal. He later entered Butler college and was very active In sports. He entered the University of Chicago in 1899 and graduated in 1902. That year he won th? world's strength record which still stands. He waa the only man in the university that was on the track team, baseball, football and basketball teams. In 1907. he went to Japan and, coached the first winning baseball; team in that country. Japan won : the first thirty games played | against Americans, and Pat Page, j former Butler coach, was the first American pitcher to win a game from Japan. He was also a mem- j ber of the Olympic team in 1900. The special musiq will be fur- j hished by the Franklin college choir, j Under the direction of Glenn Beitz.

The mass of exposition will be said at 10:30 next Sunday morning and the devotions will close the following Tuesday night with a procession in honor of the blessed sacrament. The Rev. Edward Mattingly, C. SS. R., from St. Louis, will conduct the devotions and he will preach at all the masses next Sunday morning and ajso at the night devotion on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 8 p. m.
