COUNTY'S AUTO TOLL FOR YEAR CLIMBS TO 29 Art E. Eaton, 60, Succumbs to Injuries Suffered in Collision. Injuries incurred in an auto crash Tuesday at Arlington avenue and Forty-sixth street resulted in the death Thursday of Art E. Eaton, 60, of 1002 West Thirty-second street, at Methodist hospital. Mr. Eaton's death increased the traffic toll in Marion county to twenty-nine for the year. A salesman for PfafT

driven by James J. McConnell, collided with another driven by William A. Shepler. Mr. Eaton was a member of the Thirty-first Street Baptist church. Burvivors are the widow, Mrs. Nellie K.*Eaton; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Kiler and Mrs. Artie May Johnston, both of Indianapolis, and a son. Dr. Marion Eaton of Lake Bluff, 111. Funeral services will be held at 3 Sunday at Shirley Brothers’ chapel, f>4 North Illinois street. Burial will be at 2 Monday afternoon in Memorial Park cemetery. Three More Are Hurt Three persons were injured in traffic mishaps Thursday night. Harold Hines, 22, of 1056 North Mount street, was arrested on a manslaughter count in connection with the death Wednesday night of Frank Lee, 17, of 1032 Gross street. Lee was hurt in an auto collision at Tibbs avenue and Tenth street. Hughie Macy, 15, son of Glydcn (Cy> Macy, driver of the police emergency car, who was riding with Lee, was cut and bruised. Pedestrian Injured Becoming confused in the rush hour traffic Thursday night, Mrs. F. C. Smith, 25, of 1246 North Alabama street, walked into the path of a car driven by A. M. Buck of Carmel, She incurred cuts on the head and body. Henry Bittner, 57 of 1044 Harlan street, suffered head injuries when he was struck by a street car at Washington and Pennsylvania streets. He is in city hospital. Running into Sixteenth street near Arsenal avenue, William Woods, 6, Negro, of 1441 Martindale avenue, was struck by an auto driven by Thomas J. King, 43, Negro, of 2032 Columbia avenue. The boy was treated at city hospital for cuts and bruises.

The petition which was denied, filed with Leslie by the Unemployed Council, bore the names of Indianapolis men. Leslie referred the bill to the farm bureau.
