SHRINE CLUB OF 1 LOSANSPORT TO PERFORM HERE Visiting Nobles Will Stage Minstrel Show Tonight at Murat Temple. A minstrel show presented by the nobles of Logansport Shrine Club will feature the stated meeting of the Murat Shrine tonight at Murat temple. The minstrel show will be a return courtesy extended by the visitors in appreciation for the various pilgrimages made by Murat uniformed organizations to the Cass county seat. The entertainment will be open to Shrine nobles and their ' ladies. The session will convene at 7:30. Entertainment will be provided for the ladies during the business meet- i ing. Full Scenic Effects The show will be given in the theater with full stage and scenic effects. Edward B. Raub, potentate, will make announcement at the stated meeting concerning the ceremonial to be held Friday afternoon and night, April 1. The ceremonial wil be designed to re-awaken the interest of lagging old members. This campaign is being made Shrine-wide by Thomas J. Houston of Chicago, imperial potentate. Master of ceremonies and interlocutor in the minstrel show will be <X E. Klinck. H. A. Wallace will be musical director. End men are to be G. Miller, J.' Hollingshead, C. Smitley, H. Klotz- | bach* F. Miller and J. Williamson. Cards to Follow Show Wi cast also will include the orchestra and soloists. There will be cards and other i entertainment in the social room following the show. Logansport nobles will be special guests. Members of the cast of the minstrel show and the “burlesque on burlesques’’ which will be given j by Indianapolis chapter No. 5,! Royal Arch Masons, have been announced by Arnold F. Spencer, | director of the show and composer of much of the music to be used. Those who will take part in the minstrel show will be Wills Milam, Kenneth Hartley, Albert Pauley, Raymond Ball, Walter Nendel, Max Schoener, Hervey Richardson, Harry Saunders, Lloyd Mosiman, | William Brink and Chris Sorenson. | Interlocutor will be Henry St. Clair. Five past high priests of Indianapolis chapter will be among those j in the cast of the burlesque. They ; will be Ora T. Brown, Edward F. | Monn, Henry St. Clair, and Harry ; G. WerkhofT. Also in the east will ! be William Waller and Fred Manker. The entire burlesque has been written by Spencer. SAHARA GROTTO LADIES TO GIVE BOX SUPPER Affair at Clubhouse Will Be Open to Members and Families. Ladies auxiliary of Sahara Grotto will give an old-fashioned box supper at the clubhouse Tuesday night. The dinner will be open to all members and their families. Each family will bring a box of food. A public card party will be held at the Grotto clubhouse Saturday. It will be in charge of Charles McDowell of the entertainment committee. A theater party for prophets of the Grotto and their families will be held March 28. The group will attend a presentation of the Berkell players of “Uncle Tom's Cabin” at Keith's theater. MYSTIC TIE LODGE TO CONFER MASTER DEGREE Travelog Will Be Feature of Meeting April 4. Mystic Tie lodge. No. 398. F. Ar. A. M , will confer the Master Mason degree at its stated meeting tonight at 6:30 in the Masonic temple, North and Illinois streets. The lodge will hold no meeting March 28. Rex P. Young, manager of the foreign and travel department of the Fletcher Trust company, will present an illustrated travelog at the April 4 meeting. LODGE IS TO INITIATE Master Mason Degree Will Be Conferred by rrospect Lodge. Prospect lodge. No. 714. F. & A. M., will confer the Master Mason degree on a group of candidates at a meeting to be held Saturday in the hall at Prospect street and State avenue. The degree work will begin at 4, and a banquet will be served at 6. Following the dinner will be a short entertainment and speeches. Worshipful master rtf the lodge is Raymond Lane. 0. E. S. RITES TONIGHT Prospect Chapter Will Initiate Class at Candle-light Service. Easter candle-light ceremony will be pe’•formed tonight by Prospect chapter No. 452, Order of Eastern Star, at the Masonic temple, Prospect street and State avenue. STUMP TO TALK ON WASHINGTON Broad Ripple Masons Will Hear Attorney Friday. Albert Stump, Indianapolis attorney, will speak on “George Washington” at a bicentennial observ- j ance of Broad* Ripple lodge No. 643, j F. & A. M., Friday night at 8 in j the Broad Ripple Masonic temple. Following the speech will be a musical program by the newly organized choir of the lodge. This will be the first appearance of the organization. In addition, instrumental music will be furnished by an instrumental trio, made up of Georgia Baumann, violin; Virginia Leyenberger, cello, and Gertrude Free, piano. Norveil Spellhorn will play a group of numbers on the organ. The entire lodge will participate in patriotic ceremonies which will follow the entertainment. Markle, patriotic ceremonies. | EAGLES TO INITIATE Drill Team Will Assist Rites Monday Night. Drill team of Indianapolis Eagles aerie will assist in a Seventh district initiation next Monday night at the lodge home, 43 West Vermont street, marking the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the aerie. District aeries to be represented are those at Martinsville, Shelbyville, Noblesville and Green- i field. A campaign with a goal of 250,- j 000 new members, announced at the 1931 national convention of the or- i der held in Toledo, and underwritten to the extent of nearly $1,000,000 by Conrad H. Mann, Kansas City, head of the national organization department, has been attended to May 31. end of the fiscal year. Previously the end of the drive had been set for Feb. 15. Thirty-two Indianapolis Eagles, headed by Fred J. Snyder, campaign ehairman, are pledged to obtain ten new members each by May 31.

Mrs. Ida Neal of Aurora, grand chief of the Pythian Sisters of Indiana, will be honor guest at a meeting of Olympia chapter. No. 76, of Lafayette, Tuesday night. Brookside Rebekahs Aiso to Celebrate Birthday of Founder. Brookside Rebekah lodge. No. 707 will celebrate the twenty-sixth anniversary of its founding at its regular meeting Tuesday night. The lodge was inaugurated March 18, 1906. In addition, the lodge will observe the 109th birthday of Schuyler Colfax, who founded the Rebekah degree. Born in New York City, he lived for many years in Indiana. He wiote the degree in 1868. In 1869, he was elected to the vice-presidency of the United States under President Grant. Odd Fellow lodges of Marion county will hold a district meeting Friday night in the hall of Indianapolis lodge No. 465. at Prospect and Evison streets. In addition, plans will be completed at this meeting for a celebration of the one hundred thirteenth anniversary of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, to be held April 26. The faceting will be state-wide. Indianapolis lodge, which is host at this meeting, is the largest in the county. It has more than eight hundred members. In charge of the meeting will be Ernest Barrette and Guy Foltz, district deputies. Six candidates will be initiated at a meeting of Mozart Rebekah lodge, No. 828, Friday night in the hall at Prospect and East streets. In addition, the lodge will have its regular monthly entertainment. New members will be initiated by Temple Rebekah lodge No. 591 at 8 Tuesday night at 230 East Ohio street. County meetings will be held this week at Peru Tuesday and at Bloomfield Saturday.

QUEEN ESTHER CONTEST IS ON AT KIRSHBAUM Ten Junior Organizations Vie for Honor Featuring Annual Purim Ball. Ten junior organizations have entered candidates in the Queen Esther contest, which will feature the twentieth annual Purim ball of the Jewish Educational Association of Indianapolis, to be held March 27 in Kirshbaum Community center. Candidates receiving the highest number of votes from those attending the ball will be crowned “Queen Esther” with fitting ceremony. Candidates and their organizations are: Mignon Rosenfleld. Disc; Mildred Magidson. Buddlettes; Dorothy Cohen. Avukah: Constance Borman. Junior Hadassah; Sadie Schuchman, Theta Kappa Kappa; Jeanette Solotkin. Emuna: Rcre Einstandig, Kodimo: Lena Penish. Sigma Phi Alpha: Adele Schwartz. Junior Council, and Marripane Friedman. Sigma Rho Gamma. Members of the committee in charge of the contest are: Mrs. I. LODGE LAYS PLANS FOR DINNER DANCE
Louis J. Borinstein LODGE TO FETE EX-PRESIDENTS B’nai B’rith Will Give Pins to Twenty-Three Tonight. Past presidents’ night will be observed tonight at the Purim celebration of Indianapolis B’nai B’rith lodge at Kirshbaum community center. Past presidents of the lodge will be presented with gold. Menorah pins, the emblem of the order. Presentations will be made by Isadore Feibleman, past president of the lodge and of the district. Each of the past presidents will respond. On the entertainment program will be Dr. Harold Jaffee, violinist, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Jaffee. Esther Lefkovita and Sidney Haas will sing. Phil Sentir will present several tap dance numbers. Eph Levin will be in charge of the entertainment. Past presidents of the lodge, who will be honored, are: Ralph Bamberger, Louis J. Borinstein, G. A. and Meyer Efroymson, Henry Blatt, Abe H. Goldstein. Dr. Harry A. Jacobs, Dr. Alfred S. Jaeger. Dr. Edgar F. Kiser, Sol S. Kiser, Samuel J. Mantel, Leon Mansur, J. L. Monument Masons Announce Bicentennial Party to Be Given March 31. Monument lodge No. 657, F. <fc A. M., will hold a dinner dance, entertainment and card party March 31 in observance of the Washington bicentennial in the Masonic temple. Principal speakers will be Louis J. Borinstein, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the lodge. He will be presented by Otto W. Cox, worshipful master of the lodge. Dr. Harold Jaffee will present a group of violin selections. A harmony presentation will be given by Mrs. Jack Rosenthal, Jerome Watcher and Albert Pollack. Miss Pearl Goodman will sing. Sidney Haas will sing, accompanying himself on the banjo, and Philip Sentir will give an eccentric dance. Mrs. Sam Hurwitz will furnish the piano accompaniment for Sentir. Master of ceremonies will be Eph Levin. Members of the committee in charge of arrangements is Maurice Tavel, chairman; John W. Bader and Lorens H. Stevens. Henry Winkler is chairman of the reception committee, which includes all past masters and their wives.
