y.W.C.A; in Colleges to Hold Parley Mrmbcrs of the Butler university Y. W. C. A. cabinet will be hostesses this week-end for the annual spring training conference for cabinets of other universities and colleges in the state. The program will begin with registration of delegates Friday night, and close with a Sunday morning session. A feature of the week-end will be the Geneva banquet Saturday night for the purpose of stimulating interest In the annual national conference of the Y. W. C. A. at Lake Oeneva, Wis. Professor Aliena Grafton of the Butler university faculty, general chairman, who has arranged the program, will be assisted in entertainment by Mrs. James W. Putnam, Miss Juna Lutz, Miss Gladys Banos, Miss Corlnne Welling, H. W. Hudson and Dr. C. Mcrvin Palmer. Members of the local cabinet are: Misses Virginia Taylor, president; Betty t.owcr. vice-president; Marjory Oemaree, Evelyn Crosstreet, Evelyn Richey, Agnes Postma. Geraldine Kuntz. Mary Harvev, Hope Wlllcutts. Ann Arnold, Magdallne Adam*. Maenell Hamline, Cecile Nease Mary Helen Dunnington. and Mvla Smith A delegate from each school will have charge of one of the discussion groups. Sorority Plans for Washington Tea Completed Anagnous chapter, Epsilon Sigma Omicron sorority, will entertain with a tea in celebration of the Washington bicentennial at 2 on Wednestfty at, the home of Mrs. John M. Smith, 52 North Audubon road. A program has been arranged by Mrs. M. D. Didway. A playlet, "When George and Martha Returned,” will be presented by Mcsdamcs G. C. Roberts, Francis McCabe, C. J. Finch and J. M. Smith. A trio composed of Miss Kate Hulbert, Mrs. E. B. Johnson and Mrs. J. O. Wills, will sing. Jean M. Smith and Jean L. Smith will dance the minuet. Tea will follow the program. Decorations will be in the sorority colors, two shades of blue. The president, Mrs. William D. Keenan, will preside. UNIVERSITY WOMEN TO MEET TONIGHT Indianapolis branch of the American Association of University Women will hold a general meeting of all groups tonight in the Hunters’ ledge at the Marott,. Miss Lillian Chandler, London, England, an exchange teacher at Washington high school, will speak. Hostesses will be graduates of Indiana colleges, excepting Indiana and Purdue universities, and members of the international relations study group. Mrs. Arthur Focke is in charge. Dinner at 6:30 will precede the program. WEDDING DATE IS ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Mattox, Pekin, Ind., announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Thelma Gladys Mattox, to Dr. Andrew F. Connoy, Westfield, which took place Oct. 16 at Brownsburg. Dr. Connoy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Connoy, 1615 North Ashland avenue, and is a graduate of Indiana university. They will make their home in Westfield. JAPAN TOPIC FOR WOMEN'S MEETING Mrs. Demarchus Brown will speak on ‘ Japan” before the Brookside Park Woman's Club at 10 Thursday morning at the community house. The dance to have been held March 25 has been advanced a week because of Good Friday and will be held at 8:30 this Friday night at the community house. Civic League Meets Brookside Civic League met on Monday night at the Brookside Community House. Mrs. Thelma Hrlkema, instructor of music and expression, and her pupils gave a program of music and readings, in costume. She was assisted by Miss Ruth Eakin in presenting a playlet, "Fast Friends.” Mrs. Clark Hostess Women's auxiliary to the Thirtyeighth division will meet Wednesday morning at the home of Mrs. P. J. Clark, 2214 Park avenue. Luncheon will follow the meeting. Chapters Plan, Banquet Alpha and Beta chapters of Pi Sigma Tau sorority will hold a joint meeting tonight at the Fletcher Trust Company. Plans will be made for a founders’ day banquet to be held April 7.
Daily Recipe CORNED BEEF HASH 11-2 pounds corned beef, cooked 7 pounds boiled potatoes Onion to flavor Dash of cayenne pepper Salt Put meat, potato and onion through the meat grinder, using the knife. Add the cayenne and salt to taste and mix thoroughly. Grease lightly a heavy skillet. Pat in the hash in an even layer and cook ove~ low heat until a golden brown crust is iormed. When brown, place a pan or lid over the skillet and turn the hash out so the browned side is on top. Slip the uncooked side in the skillet and allow this side to become golden brown. Turn out on a plate, garnish with pars-* lay and serve at once.

Nurse Head to Address Scout Training Class Miss Harriette Davis, instructor of nurses on the staff of Riley hospital, will address members of the first class training class for Girl Scout leaders at the Scout headquarters in the Board of Trade building at 10 Wednesday morning. Her subject will be “First Aid and Home Nursing.” These are two of the health merit badges required of girls who are first-class Scouts. According to the national report for 1931, the health group awards were the most popular badges. The health winner badge was awarded to 13,946 Scouts, and the first aid to 11,324 girls. They subscribe to the following as their code: “Cleanliness is a habit with Girl Scouts, and they know that sickness is the result, not so much of ill-luck as of wrong living. So Girl Scouts eat wisely, sleep long, stand tall, exercise freely, and realize that laughter is a sign of health as well as of happiness.” OMEGA PHI TAUS PLAN RUSH FETE Alpha chapter, Omega Phi Tau sorority, will give its final rush party of the season, Wednesday night, when guests will be entertained with a theater party at Keith’s.
