Red Menace By United Prr WASHINGTON. Feb. 5. Swift Eagle, esquire., an Amerran Indian, was on his way to work just before sunrise, softly crooning to himself: "Mv heart's in the highlands, My heart la not here; My heart's in the highlands. A-chasing the deer." No one was more surprised than he when a deer flashed past and fled across the William Howard Taft bridge. Swift eagle dropped his dinner pail and gave chase. In the middle of the bridge he caught the deer, hailed a eab and took it back to the zoo, where it belonged. P. S.—The deer died of exhaustion.
and his brother had loaded seventy tons of coal. Fagg was injured in September in a bout with Moan Baumgartner of Ft. Wayne at the Muncie armory. That time he was unconscious twenty-four hours and was unable to leave the hospital for a week. Tuesday night, Holden and Fagg had been swapping punches. They clinched and after breaking Holden stepped back and Fagg fell to the canvas, unconscious. Dr. E. E. Earp, medical examiner for the American Legion, boxing show sponsor, said Fagg had appeared in good physical condition before the fight. Earp said he had examined the boxer closely, in view of the previous accident at Muncie. National boxing authorities have given Fagg a fair rating, and local promoters say he had opportunity to become one of the best boys in his class. Coroner Fred W. Vehling opened his inquest into the boxer's death today. Surviving him are the son, the brother, and Fagg’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Fagg of Terre Haute.
