SALLY AND DUNN ARE' LOVERS ONCE MORE James and Miss Eilers Are Hoofers in 'Dance Team’ Which Opens at Apollo Today for the New Week. JAMES Dunn and Sally Eilers, remembered for their performances in "Bad Girl" and "Over the Hill," return to the Apollo screen today in the Fox romance, “Dance Team," adapated from the popular novel of the same name, by Sarah Addington. Presenting the youthful stars in an entirely different story, ‘Dance Team” is said to exceed "Bad Girl" in its humanness, its realistic and natural situations and its tender romance. The theme revolves around the struggles of two ambitious youngsters, who on the cash capital of sl.lO, set out to become successful ballroom

! dancers on Broadway. The misadventures of the two in trying to get a foothold on New York’s Rialto, with Dunn being j thrown out of various establishments; their first real "break" with lan engagement in a chop suey paiace, oniy to see Miss Eiiers sprain her ankle on their first evening; their struggles to save money for another attempt; the joy of success when they score on the opening night at a smart night club and find themselves the sensations j of Broadway and Dunn’s inability to stand good fortune, all lend a good amount of pathos and humor. While dancing plays a big part in : the theme of the story the picture ; is said to deal more with the prob- ; lems of romance that confront Dunn and Miss Eilers off the dance ; floor. Their battles with the problems |of romance and their attempts to side-step love in the endeavor to two-step to fame supplies laughs I and tears, according to advance reports.
