PLAN OFFERED TO SELL LAND McKinney Proposes City Get Rid of Tracts. Proposal to form a municipal corporation to acquire and sell portions of useless land purchased by the city under condemnation proceedings, was advanced today by E. Kirk McKinney, works board president. Odd pieces of land left by street openings, would be sold to adjoining property owners, and the money placed in the city general fund. It was estimated thousands of dollars could be obtained. McKinney pointed out instances In which the city has acquired ground for street extensions and only part of the property was used. McKinney proposed that works board members and the mayor be made officers of the corporation. The plan will be presented to other city officials. Widow Plans Air Hop By United I’rrxx MILWAUKEE, Jan. 11. —Mrs. Susan Budny, 33, Detroit, real estate dealer and widowed mother of two children, announced plans today for a nonstop refueling flight from Milwaukee to Poland. She said she would take off as soon as officials of the midwest airways here have finished mapping out a course, and Milwaukee Poles complete the fund they are raising to finance the flight. Mrs. Budny said she intends to take along a male relief pilot and mechanic. Her plan calls for refueling at New York and at Paris, and for continuing to Poland alone after dropping the relief pilot by parachute in France. Century to Fly Here Century Airlines is expected soon to start a two-week test flight service between Chicago and Cincinnati, through Indianapolis, preparatory to the inauguration of anew passenger line over the same route, Charles E. Cox Jr., airport superintendent, announced today. The test will be made to familiarize pilots with the route, and to fix permanent schedules for the passenger line, Cox said he was informed by officials of the airline. Passenger service is to start as soon as weather permits. Plane Drops Medicine By United Press MOBERLY, Mo., Jail. 11.—Two aviators flew from Moberly to the farm of J. F. Glover, 84, who lives twenty-five miles north of here, and dropped a small parachute to which was attached a packet of medicine. Glover was ill and muddy roads made automobile travel impossible.
