Officers of Vassar Club 1 Are Elected gw Miss Carolyn Richardson was elected president of the Indiana Vassar Club Wednesday at the annual holiday breakfast at the Prcpylaeum. Other officers elected are: Sirs. Albert R. Seaton, vice-president: UTt. Harry Fltton. secretary; Mrs. Byron K. Rust, treasurer: Miss Mona Taascart. Mrs. Montgomery Lewis. Mrs. D. Laurence Chambers. Mrs. Charles A. Garrard -nd Mrs. Clarence Merrill, directors. Mrs. Dorothy Goodrich was chairman ol the nominating committee. The program included a memorial service for Mrs. Frederick G. Appel and Mrs. Meredith Nicholson, members of the club, who died recently. Mrs. Nicholson was a former president. Miss Richardson, pianist, played several seiections. The program was arranged by Mrs. Rust. Covers for thirty-five were laid at tables decorated in the college colors, rose and gray. Mrs. Elizabeth Graham Linn of Crawfordsvilie was among the guests. 2,000 Attend Potato-Apple Movie Matinee More than two thousand children attended the potato and apple matinee at Fountain Square theater Tuesday afternoon, one of the series sponsored by the Indiana Indorsers of Photoplays. Carl Cunningnam is manager. Donations amounted to M 2 cans of corn, peas, tomatoes, pumpkin, salmon, beans, jams and jelly, eight bushels of potatoes, six bushels of apples and oranges, two and onehalf bushels of staple goods, one bushel of turnips and one-half peck of onions. Produce was divided among fifteen families. 9 Preceding the picture, pupils of Helen Francis Starr presented Kin original playlet concerning charracters of “Our Gang” comedies in Ia safety campaign. Many Hostesses Will Precede Club Fetes With Own Parties

The new year will receive a joyoua welcome tonight from merry-makers at various parties planned by Indianapolis clubs and Indianapolis hostesses. Among the parties to be held for young folks will be the dance Mr. and Mrs. W. Richardson Sinclair will give at their home in Crow’s Nest, for their daughter Dora, and fifty of her friends. The social room in the Sinclair home will be decorated with evergreen boughs, Christmas trees and other holiday decorations. Miss Sinclair is a student at Ethel Walker school in Connecticut and will return for the spring term next week. Thomas Howe Jr., and Addison Howe will entertain at dinner at their home, 4226 North Meridian street, for a group of friends before the Woodstock Club New Year’s eve dance. Thomas Jr., who Is spending a week with his parents, is assistant director of the San Francisco Art Museum. Their guests will include Misses Evelyn Chambers, Frances Holliday, Frances Hamilton, Dorothy Hutchinson of Evansville, and George Green and Henderson Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. George Rhodes have a group of house guests from Chicago: F. L. Maytag, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kratsch, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lech, and with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duesenberg and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Demming, will attend the supper dance at the Indianapolis Athletic club.
