SPICY TALES OF DADDY'S LOVES TOLD TO COURT Browning’s Petting Parties With Blond Sisters Are Described. By United Press NEW YORK, Dec. 17. New glimpses of Edward W. (Daddy) Browning's petting parties with two blond sisters in a hired limousine were promised today in testimony through which Frances (Peaches) Browning hopes to win a divorce. It was indicated the trial will last several days as counsel for both sides said Daddy and Peaches would testify. The sisters, Evelyn* and Marion Jenis, will be called by Browning, attorneys said. Browning was uneasy after a day of adverse testimony. His chauffeur, John Guishaw, thumbed a little red note book and told of Daddy’s long rides through Westchester county with the Jenis sisters, with one of the blondes sitting on Browning’s lap. The two girls, both in their early twenties, appear to be twins. With the aid of the note book, the chauffeur picked out specific nights when he drove the three on "petting parties.” Quishaw said he heard such expressions as “Oh,”

Statisticians inform us that the people of this country consume 45-million pounds of pecans a year. Squirrel statistics are unavailable. * PERHAPS the above is one reason why alienists seem to have so little trouble in proving- their case. Which reminds us of the old Quaker who said to his wife: “All the world is queer except thee and me and sometimes I think even thee art a little queer.” n n u WE predict that when the Culbertson-Lenz-Jacoby bridge tournament is over the losing side will hold a very private and unpleasant postmortem. THAT St. Bernard dog of Miss Durant’s who went to sea in a first class stateroom will certainly have plenty of reason to put on the dog when he meets up with canines leading an ordinary dog’s life. PERHAPS those Roachdale bank robbers have been reading in the papers about the necessity of getting money back into circulation, or that our oversupply of gold was hurting world trade. it a a AND at the same time, it isn’t a bad idea to remind readers that we are selling those famous Miller Tires which are Geared-to- \ he-Road for extra safety and traction, Vesta Plate-Locking Isolator Batteries and Arvin Heaters. “Ah,” “Don’t do that,” coming from the rear seat. Then there would be feminine squeals of laughter, he testified. Guishaw said he remembered one night distinctly hearing one of the sisters shout: “Let go my leg.” On another occasion, he testified, he heard a noise in the back of the car and one of the girls cried: “Oh gee, don’t.” In the windshield mirrow Guishaw said he could see one of the girls sitting on Browning’s lap. Harry Connor, private detective engaged by Peaches, testified he passed Daddy’s car four times and that on two instances he saw one of the girls standing in front of Browning. The other was sitting in a corner of the car. The clothing of the girl standing was disarranged, Connor testified, and Browning had his overcoat off. Connor was cross-questioned by Browning’s counsel. “The worst you could say is that Browning was in a compromising position?” “Yes.” An inventor in Italy has designed an airplane supported by a single disk-shaped wing that is rotated to serve as a propeller and is filled with gas to increase its lifting powei^

DENIES CHARGES OF CHEAP MILK Dairy Men’s Group Head Cites Gallon Price Figures. Denial of charges by insurgent dairymen that they receive too little for their milk, was made by Carl E. Hedges, manager of the new Central Indiana Dairymen’s Association, Wednesday night at a meeting
of milk producers at New Augusta. The average selling price of all milk used In Indianapolis is approximately 32 cents a gallon, the cost of pasteurizing and distributing is more than 15 cents, and the producer has received an average of more than 16 cents, leaving the distributor only a small profit, he asserted. Meetings of dairymen who refuse to sign, the milk pool contract, charging they receive an average of only 11 cents a gallon for their milk, are being held in various townships, organizations being formed to demand revision in the pool contracts.
