PREDICTS WAR WILL WIPE OUT GENTILE POWER Voliva Says Jews Will Rise Again to Take World Leadership. BY JAMES C. AUSTIN United Press Staff Correspondent ZION, HI., Oct. 30.—Another war involving the great nations of the world is fast approaching, and from its ruins the Jews will rise triumphant to re-establish themselves as leaders of the universe, Wilbur Glenn Voliva. leader of the Christian Catholic Apostolic church, predicts. Terming the last war “the dark night” and the impending Geneva disarmament conference “anqther ominous sign,” Voliva foretold the growth of the “northern confederacy”—Russia and Germany—and the "revived Roman empire under control of France and Italy” and the inevitable conflict resulting from those alliances. With the same fervor, the small, white-haired leader predicted “the times of the Gentiles” will end in this decade. He based his prediction on the theory that the “times of the Gentiles” will last 2,520 solar years, and that termination of this reign will occur approximately in 1936. Time of Gentiles “The time of the Gentiles began in 604 B. C., when the kingdom of Judah lost its independence and became a vassal state,” Voliva said. He pointed out that in 604 B. C. Nebuchadnezzar became supremo ruler of the first universal empire; that in 597 B. C. King Jehoiachin was taken captive and the seventy years captivity of the Jews began; that in 586-585 B. C. Zedekiah, the last king to sit on the throne of David, was taken captive and the throne destroyed. That period of time since 607 B. C. equals 1914 A. D., the year in which the World war began, and “the first of four epochal events marking the beginning of the end of the times of the Gentiles,” he said. The same period of time since 604 B. C. brings the date to 1917, when the Balfour declaration was issued, stating the British government looked with favor on establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine, he said. End of Present Order In 1924, according to Voliva, 2,520 years after the biblical date of 597 B. C., the Mohammedan caliphate was terminated In the east. Two thousand, five hundred twenty years after the destruction of the throne of David, which will fall in 1935-36, probably will bring an end to the present order, and the great war. Then the Russo-German confederacy will wage war upon the ’“Roman Empire” of France, Italy, and other southern European countries. England will join forces with the United States, and the rest of America will join the third branch for geographic and economic reasons, Voliva predicted.
