ANTI-BRUENING PARTY DEMANDS REICHSTAG END German Natonalists and Fascists Combine in Overthrow Move. BY FREDERICK KLH Unit'd Press Stilt Correspondent HARZBURG, Brunswick, Germany, Oct. 12—Germany’s Fascist *nd Nationalist parties, united as the “national opposition,” will demird immediate dissolution and a general election when the rcichstag convenes Tuesday. The two parties are making their thundering bid for the power now held by the government of Chancellor Heinrich Bruening after a most colorful demonstration here Sunday. The ordinarily quiet atmosphere of Harzburg, a popular spa, gave way before military parade of brown shirt Fascists and gray-clad members of the Steel Helmets, reactionary war veterans' organization. Hitler Gets Ovation Adolph Hitler, Fascist or “Nazi” leader, who received his first audience with President Paul Von Hindenburg Saturday; Alfred Hugenbrrg, powerful Nationalist leader, and Dr. Hjalmar Schacht, former president of the Reichsbank, were cheered ".'ldly as they denounced the Brjening regime, demanded the entire, system of democracy be aside along with the peace treaties, and that Germany be given '■fcual rights of armament with 9ther world powers.

Dr. alliance with the Nationalist opposition was not entirely unexpected, due. to his contentions that Germany is unable to continue to pay reparations, but his violent attack on the Bruening regime was the sensation of the meeting. He accused the government, chiefly Bruening, Hans Luther, president of the Reichsbank, and Herman Dietrich, minister of finance, of concealing Germany’s “catastrophic financial position.” He said the recent report of the Wiggin international bankers committee was “dis-. tortive.” Decide Election Date The opposition decided to demand Immediate dissolution of the Reichstag and a general election Nov. 8, the thirteenth birthday of the German republic. Hitler and Hugenberg, who arrived by automobile from Berlin, found Harzburg prepared to give them an impressive welcome. Brown shirts and steel helmets lined the streets. Children waved the Fascist emblem, a black swastika with white bordO on a field of red. Uniformed battalions patrolled the streets and guarded the hotel where the Nationalist and Fascist leaders made their headquarters. Houses of the town and public buildings were swathed in Fascist emblems, German war hags, and the colors of imperial Germany. The roll of drums and the rhythmic music of military bands echoed from the mountains and forests surrounding Harzburg. Given Fascist Salute Hitler's arrival was the signal for a great roar of cheering, shouts of “Germany awae!” the Fascist slogan, “Hail Hitler," and hundreds of Fascist, salutes in honor of the dapDer young leader of the Nazis. Six nundred delegates assembled a* the Harzburg casino heard Hitler demand a fight to the finish. He declared that the time had come when Communism or nationalism must rule Germany. Hitler's remarks were not as sensational as they might have been in comparison with other of his utterances. It was believed that Von Hindenburg had warned him Saturday to control his reactionary elements, in view of Germany’s need for outside support in her financial and economic situation. Hugenberg said Germany had reached the crossroads and must rhoose between Russian Bolshevism and German nationalism. 20-Foot Flagpole Is Stolen H<i ( nilrri r<r>* FLINT. Mich., Oct. 12.—Somebody stole a 20-foot flagpole from the Flint Valley Golf club and police still are looking for it, puzzled as to who would want it and more as to how they are hiding it.
