CITY AWAITING RETURN OF AIR LINE CONTRACT Century Rewriting Papers for Clarity, Works Board Informed. Century Air Lines, Inc., which is preparing to establish several new passenger air lines with Indianapolis as the hub of its operations, carried a total of 7,512 passengers on its middle west division in September, It was announced today. This figure brings the company’s aggregate total to 40,213 passengers since March 23, 1931, according to L. B. Manning, vice-president and general manager of the Cord Corporation, of which Century is a division. It also operates sixty-four daily schedules between Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Chicago, South Bend, Springfield, 111., and St. Louis, In addition to another line on the west coast.
