EXPECT HOOVER TO URGE TRUST LAW REVISION Foes of Sherman Act Say It Prolongs Business Depression. By United Press WASHINGTON, Sept. 25.—A relentless assault of business men against the Sherman anti-trust law Is being felt daily at the White House. The protests hinge around restrictions imposed by the law agaiast co-operative action which oil. lumber, coal, steel and other Industries desire to take to combat the depression. There are authoritative indications that President Hoover is regarding these appeals sympathetically. The President hinted at a desired modification of the law in his last general message to congress. He recommended a special congressional committee be appointed to inquire Into prospects for a change. Congress, however, disregards the suggestion. Tightening of the business situation since then is expected to lead the executive to make a more forceful recommendation when congress assembles in December. It is understood his message will contain an indorsement of the purposes of the anti-trust law, but deplore its interference with worthy co-operative business movements. Hoover does not desire repeal, but Is said to think modification should be considered to permit consolidations and co-operative movements In the public interest. Scientists have established that as the seasons change there is a movement of ten billion tons of air from one hemisphere of the earth to the other each six months.

CHANGE BANNED IN DIVORCE LAW Episcopal Group Loses Fight for Liberalization. By tnited Press DENVER, Sept. 25.—A small but hard-fighting group ol delegates to the fiftieth triennial Episcopal church convention have lost their battle for a church laws change to permit remarriage by a priest of divorced persons. The fight over this question was one of the most* spectacular waged on the convention floor, but despite heated arguments of the liberalists all efforts to lighten the ancient canon barring ' remarriage were blocked. Under the present canon, Episcopalians, regardless of cause of divorce, may not be remarried by a priest unless special permission is granted. Girl Golfers Don Pajamas BRIDGEPORT, Conn., Sept. 25.
