WIDOW TO VIEW 2 SUSPECTED IN COLLINGSDEATH Probers Absolve One of Pair Nabbed in Hunt for Bay Pirates. By United Perm MINEOLA, L. 1., Sept. 24.—The attractive red-haired widow of Long Island sound’s “pirate” murder victim was expected to view here today two men believed to fit descriptions she gave of the “pirates’’ who killed her husband, attacsed her, and abandoned her baby on the yacht Penguin. The two men are in Mineola police station, not under arrest, but resting in cells voluntarily until Mrs. Lillian Collings, the widow, attempts to identify them. One of the two men is Timothy Quinn, released earlier in the morning by authorities after Alexander Blue, district attorney of Suffolk county, questioned him, and in a terse statement said Quinn would not be detained. Quinn apparently had convinced Blue he was not the man sought in connection with the murder mystery. Blue led reporters and court hangers-on to believe Quinn was not the man. Quinn appears to be 45 years old. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall. His hair is close cropped. His eyes fit the description of the “madman” Mrs. Collings said attacked her in a canoe. His companion is a youth of about 18. also fitting the description of the younger “pirate” on that fateful night two weeks ago. Quinn is a former patient in asylums, according to police, and three times, they said, he had been questioned in connection with other murders. Quinn first was arested at the home of his brother, a physician, by James Smith and Thomas Devery, detectives. He was traced through telephone calls from Oyster Bay to Queens, but denied any knowledge of the murder. It was learned here, however, The Quick, Sure Way to End ECZEMA No matter how long you’ve suffered with itching, feverish, ugly Eczema and what treatments you’ve tried —one application of powerfully soothing and healing Peterson’s Ointment instantly stops the maddening itching and terrible soreness, and just a few days’ use banishes every trace of that red cracked, discharging skin —leaving it smooth and clear.
