SCOUT CHIEFS TO MAP PLANS AT CITY RALLY Year’s Program Will Be Mapped at Session at Church. Plans for the next year will be j drafted at the fall Scoutmasters’ meeting and get-together tonight j at the College Avenue Baptist church, Fifteenth street and College avenue, headquarters of Troop 20. Arter a supper being served under auspices of the Parents’ council, i standard troop streamer awards will 1 be presented to the following troops: Gold Streamers—Troops Nos. J, 4, 30. j 33. 42. 0, 72. 75, 7S. 80 and 82. Blue „!reamei—-Troops Nos. C, 4. 8,7, 8,9, 15. 18. 20, 21. 24. 25. 29, 42, 48. j 59, 60. 64. 66. 69. 72, 73, 75, 76. 77. 78, 80, 82. 92 and 94. Red Streamers—Troops Nos. 13, 19. 83, ! 34, 36, 45. 49, 54. 58, 70, 71, 84, 86 and 88. j White Streamers—Troops Nos. 1, 23, 26, 37. 44. 47, 62. 65. 86 and 98. Pennant awards for credits in scout work done during the summer will be given Troops 3,8, 9, 20, 25, I 33 , 45, 48, 50, 72, 78 , 86, 93 , 94, 95 and 96. The troops listed are those ! whose credits are on record at scout headquarters. Regular rehearsals of the Boy Scout bands are being held each Saturday at fire headquarters, New York and Alabama streets. All scouts owning a band instrument are invited to take up this work, j They must agree, however, to attend the practice sessions regularly for at least two years. The first band, made up of the experienced and able players, will meet at 10 a. m., the second band at 9. The band uniform this year wiiyje white with Royal Blue Scout neckerchief. Fifth annual Boy Scout day will be observed by Indiana university on Friday and Saturday. Troops under leadership can go Friday and camp in the fieldhouse, using the university gym and pool. The big parade will be staged at noon Saturday preceding the Ohio universityIndiana university game. . - BANKERS ON QUIZ BODY Two Among Grand Jurors to Probe Hammond Institution Case. Bp Times Special CROWN POINT, Ind., Sept. 21. A recent statement by Judge Martin Smith of Lake criminal court that two bankers are on the grand jury j which will investigate affairs of the | defunct First Trust and Savings bank of Hammond, was borne out when names of the panel members were recorded. The banker-jurors are Milton Kerr, cashier of the People’s State bank, Crown Point, and Holton Brown, a heavy stockholder in the First National bank, Crown Point. Band Refused Money Bit Tiifics Special NOBLESVILLE, Ind., Sept. 21. The Noblesville Military band, which has been giving summer concerts on the streets of the city for forty years, has rendered its last program, at least until the summer of 1933. The city council has refused to make an appropriation for the concerts for next year as an economy measure. Two Veterans Die Bn Times Special FRANKFORT, Ind., Sept. 21. .
