OIL MEN PUT ON THE RUN BY ‘ALFALFA BILL’ Ross Sterling, Governor of Texas, ‘Follows Through’ in Murray Fight. f v Unit'd Prr OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 14 Two state Governors, tall, mustached, tobacco-chewing “Alfalfa Blir Murray of Oklahoma, and jovial, 250-pound Ross Sterling of 7 exas, studied today the first results of their united fight for $1 oil, while the whole petroleum Industry wonders what their next moves will be. Tex., where he once taught school, to attend an old settlers' reunion. Governor Sterling, meanwhile, still held the threat of martial law over the rampant East Texas field if the new conservation law fails to stop waste of the state's resources and bring about higher prices by curtailing production. Governor Sterling, himself a practical oil operator before becoming Governor, will meet with them. Furniture Dealer Wants Wheat STURGIS.
