Club Lawn to Be Scene of Comedy Meridian Hills Country Club and the Civic theater will co-operate in the presentation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in an outdoor performance at 8 Thursday night, July 2, on the north lawn at the clubhouse. The presentation will be a modernised version, adapted by George Somners of the Civic theater. Arthur J. Beriault, head of the Beriault School of Expression, and ■who has had wide experience in playing Shakespearian roles, will direct the production, and play the part of Bottom. The cast includes sixteen players, *ho have been rehearsing for three weeks under Beriault. They are: Misses Mary Florence Fletcher. Maja Brownlee. Edythe McCouch. Ivy Ann Fuller, Vera Cox and Messrs. Garrett Olds, Jac Broderick. George Lehman Jr.. Thomas B ggins. Francis Meunier, George Binger, Paul Hammond, Boss Copeland. John Thompson and J. Paul Clemens. Summer Program a Busy One at Indianapolis Athletic Club
Instead of the inactivity of previous summers, the Indianapolis Athletic club, will hold a round of parties and dances for its members within the next few months. On July 4, there will be a supper dance for members and their guests, on the roof garden, beginning a 10. Jack Tilson’s club orchestra will play. Garden to t Be Scene of Wedding, The marriage of Miss Jean Peterson. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Alfred Peterson, and M. Stanley McComas Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Stanley McComas, Bel Air. Md., will take place at 8:30 tonight in the garden of the bride’s parent’s home, 4400 North Pennsylvania street. The Rev. Jean S. Milner will officiate. An arch of roses will form the altar, and will be banked with palms, ferns and delphinum. Green and white lights and a profusion of garden flowers will be used in further decorations. Mrs. Louise Schellschmidt Koehne. harpist, and Miss Margaret Billo, violinist, will play. A reception in the garden will follow the ceremony. Gown of White Lace The bride will be given in marriage by her father.
