PUNISH FLIERS FOR ‘DISTURBING HARDING RITES' Licenses Are Suspended by Lamont; All Deny Marring Speeches. By United Press COLUMBUS, 0., June 19.—Notice of the temporary suspension of the licenses of four Columbus aviators, allegedly because they flew over the Harding memorial at Marion Tuesday while former President Calvin Coolidge and President Hoover were speaking, was received here today from the department of commerce. Those named in the order were Harold Distelhorst, John Corrodi, Joseph Mackey and Grant Melvin, all of Columbus. Distelhorst said he did not ascend until after the dedication was over and Corrodi, an aerial photographer, said he was in the air and descended before the dedicatory services began. Distelhorst and Corrodi said they would appeal, charging the memorial disturbance, if any, was caused by an auto-giro from Detroit. Investigation of the flying of planes during the dedication services was demanded by President Hoover. The suspensions were made on order of H. F. Rough, Detroit, inspector for the department of j commerce.
