STATE BANKERS TO WEIGH TRADE SLUMP CAUSES Business Outlook Among Topics on Two-Day Program Here. Indiana bankers will take a collective view of the business depression and scan horizons of the future when they attend the thirty-fifth annual convention of the Indiana Bankers Association at the Claypool Wednesday and Thursday, the convention's program indicated today. Bank legislation also will come in for discussion at one session, while review of foreign banking and consideration of general banking problems also are on the program. A roof garden party at the Indianapolis Athlete Club at 7 Wednesday night will provide entertainment for the first day of the meeting, while Thursday night the bankers will gather for a banquet in the Claypool. Wednesday morning’s program will be featured by an address by C. F. Schwcnker, Wisconsin banking commissioner, on “The Banker—l 932 Model,” and in the afternoon' Edward J. Reilly of New- York will speak on “Trust Investment Supervision,” and Justin H. Moore, New York, on “The Business Outlook.” Eugene M. Stevens of Chicago and Fred D. Rose of Muncie are Thursday morning's speakers. Dr. Lionel D. Edie of New York will speak Thursday afternoon on “The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise,” and Thomas D. Barr, deputy

Sullivan complained to police that Ruel Slegel’o pet bear cub had “chewed him up,” Siegel defended the bear by explaining that Sullivan was feeding the cub and that “Brownie,” the bear, merely mistook Sullivan’s finger for a peanut. The police referred the case to the dog pound, which referred it to the health department, which still has it.

One station will be constructed on the site of old Station 19 at Morris and Harding, which was abandoned several weeks ago as too dangerous for occupancy. Temporary quarters nearby have been obtained. Another station would be located near Forty-sixth and Illinois streets, in the Butler university district, which now is without adequate fire protection, according to Charles R. Both stations are poorly located and have outlived their usefulness. Myers said. Station 16 is only eight blocks south of another station at Twenty-fourth street and Ashland avenue.
