Let Us Disorganize Crime

If crime is an organized business, then there must be an organization to put down crime. v There must be enough parents and leaders in our community to agree with us that the criminal must be deprived of his tools. Whether it is the pocket flask or gun that inspires these youths to commit crimes, there surely is a way to stop it, and that is through the home. Let every parent be more interested in his boy or girl, and in their companions. Let every parent prohibit the use of that pocket flask of poison. Let every parent take an active interest in the community and know the exact conditions that exist today.

It will take time to bring about the results desired. But we must undertake to disorganize crime, no matter what the difficulties, no matter what the cost, no matter what the demands. • Such a program necessitates the services of public spirited men, no matter how long a time will elapse before it will be accomplished. ' We call attention to the fact that the situation is one which” calls for action. Unless something is done, and done soon, to check the rising tide of crime in this country, the very foundation of the country itself will be threatened.
