April 24Secretary of Treasury Mellon soon will Invite artists throughout the country to submit designs for anew 25-cent piece which will be issued next year in connection with the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of George Washington. The coin will be the first to bear the image of Washington. It is authorized by legislation passed In the closing days of the last session of congress. On the front of the 25-cent piece now in use is a fulllength figure of a woman, while the back is engraved with an eagle in flight.
