Cross was indicted for the alleged embezzlement of $1,318 from the Hughes Curry Packing Company Feb. 27. Grand larceny was charged against Burgess Collins, 810 Broadway, and second degree burglary and grand larceny against John Stahl. Other indictments: Horace Hughes, Negro, murder, for the slaying of Joe Posey, Negro, Feb. 4; Raymond Bess, 1104 Bates street, and William Harry Kelley, 208 Concordia street, vehicle taking and unlawful possession of automobiles; Harry Singleton, robbery and grand larceny; Charles Barger, forgery, and Frieda Hines, alias Mrs. W. C. Rassell, 2234 North Sherman drive, issuing a fraudulent check.
