SCOUT AND DAD BANQUET TD BE HELD IN CHURCH 3,000 Parade Through City Streets to Downtown Theater Party. Boy Scouts opened *he third day of scout week in Indianapolis today with a parade and theater party. Tonight a scout and dad banquet will be held in Roberts Park M. E. church as one of the big features of the week of ceremonies. This morning at 8:30 more than 3,000 members of the scout organizations formed at the War Memorial Plaza and matched behind three bands to the Circle theater where they were guests of B. V. Sturdivant at a special showing of "Beau Ideal.’’ “Keep Off the Air,” will be the subject of the Rev. W. H. McClean in his address before the scouts and their dads tonight. Special music and other features are carded for entertainment." Civic day will be celebrated by the scouts Wednesday. Offices of Governor, Mayor, police chief, and fire chief will be filled for a brief period by star ranking scouts. Scouts will continue to be special guests of luncheon clubs throughout the week. Rotary Club entertained today. Court of honor and concert by the Boy Scout band will be held in Tomlinson hail Wednesday night a ; 7:30. Advancement awards for March will be presented at public ceremony, parents of scouts being especially invited. Thurs-’-y, Friday and Saturday will be given over to the scout exposition in Cadle tabernacle, special prizes being awarded for best booths. TEST AUTOS AT HIGHER SPEEDS Five 1.000-Mile Runs Are Ended at Speedway. The first of five 1.000-mile test runs at fifty-five miles an hour being conducted at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with thirteen stock autombiles. by the A. A. A. and Standard Oil Company, of Indiana was completed early today. The run followed a break-in run of 2.000 miles at varying speeds and two 1,000-mile runs at thirty miles an hour. The test is for the purpose of determining fuel and oil consumption and wear of moving parts of the cars.
