Then Morgan sprinted to the ! house, a double, half of w'hich is vacant, and finding doors locked, rushed up through the vacant part, dashed across a porch balcony and rescued twin daughters, 7, and hlsj wife. He carried them trom the house in their night clothing, but firemen saved sufficient clothing to keep t hem warm. The house was damaged $4,000, and Morgan said he lost about S9OO jn personal property. The family stayed the rest of the'night at a. neighbor's home. When gasoline he was pouring into a lamp exploded Thursday night, Albert Baker. 2329’i Shelby street, was burned on the face. Mrs. John C. Irey, 4410 East Twenty-first street, also suffered minor burns from explosion of gasoline in her home Thursday night. W. C. T. Hot Puppy! By United Pres* DETROIT, March 20.—There have been lots of dogs that bit men and a few that were bitten by men, and then there is—was rather—A. H. Lenk's dog, that bit a radio ground wire. Seeing the wire, the dog snapped at it and received a mild shock, as the wire hung over a tension wire above. Angered the dog tore into the wire, became entangled in it, was electrocuted and caused a short circuit which started a S4OO fire.

3 LEFT DEAD IN TORNADO WAKE 18 Injured as Oklahoma Town Is Laid Waste. CLINTON. Okja., March 20Portion of Clinton lay in ruins today, devastated by a tornado which killed at least three and caused property damage of $60,000 or more . Eighteen persons were injured, six of them critically. The tornado swept down out of black clouds from the southeast Thursday night and cut a sw*±i of destruction across this small southwestern Oklahoma, town. Two schoolhouses and a store were demolished. A dozen houses were unroofed and otherwise damaged. National guardsmen patrolled the area today, cautioning curious crowds who ventured too near weakened buildings and guarding against vandalism.
