JIMMY WALKER FACING LAXITY PROBETHREAT Specific Charges Said to Be Drafted Against N. Y. Mayor. By United Prttt NEW YORK, March 11.—Mayor James J. The movement for a general Investigation of the whole Tammanycontrolled city government, which gained great impetus with the start of an inquiry into incompetency charges against Thomas C. T. Grain, district attorney, may be broadened to include the mayor. The Society for the Prevention of Crime, in a letter to individual members of the legislature, has cited specific charges against Walker, understood to be of the same nature, laxity and incompetence, as those against Crain. It was rumored that the City Club, author of the formal charges against Crain, also is considering filing charges against the mayor. Urge United Front At the same time the New York City Congregational Church Association, representing forty-two churches, moved for united protests by Protestants, Catholics and Jews against civic corruption. A resolution was adopted Tuesday night asking Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt to take Immediate action. The resolution declared it is the “religious duty of every citizen to assist in creating such public sentiment as will not tolerate bribery and will demand honesty in all quarters of civic life.” Meanwhile, the Vivian Gordon murder case, one of the direct causes of the whole outburst against the city administration, produced a sensation for the first time in several days, but apparently was still no nearer a solution than when it first started. Gordon Records Vanish The records of an examination of Miss Gordon, murdered witness in the Seabury vice inquiry and alleged racketeer, by Owen W. Bohan, assistant district attorney, in 1928 during an investigation of a stock fraud case, have disappeared from the office of District Attorney Crain, it was learned. The case concerned Joseph Radlow, Samuel Cohen and Leo Katz, who were indicted on charges of grand larceny. Miss Gordon, appearing at that time as a voluntary witness, told Bohan that Radlow had swindled her out of $50,000 and that she was ‘‘in fear of him.” Radlow is a cousin of John A. Radeloff, attorney for the slain woman, who is held with Cohen in bail as a material witness in the murder case.

J., were injured in an automobile crash near here. Mrs. Rebecca Levin, 45, and her 5-year-old son, Jack, were the most seriously injured. The ,child is believed to have suffered a skull fracture.
