Another table was reserved for women who organized Beta Beta chapter, and who were present at the first state luncheon, thirty-one years ago. The sorority colors, scarlet and olive green, were used in the decorations. The programs were printed in red and green folders; favors were desk ornaments, bearing an etching of the lyre bird, a sorority emblem, made by members of the Beta Eta chapter at Florida State college, Tallahassee, Fla. Give Musical Program Mrs. Hixon greeted visiting chapters and alumnae, after which Alpha Chi Omega songs were sung, led by a double quartet, directed by Mrs. James M. Ogden and accompanied by Miss Henrietta Wood. Toasts and stunts carried out the Idea of a radio program. Misses Maxine Spaugh and Leila Elliott played. Toasts were given by Mrs. Uncapher, Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Van Auken. A musical program was given by members of the four active chapters, Misses Sara BitrofT, Indiana; Violet Nyland, Purdue; Helen Maranda, De Pauw, and an Apache dance by members of the Butler chapter. Avalon Women’s Golf Schedule Is Completed Until Fall
Mrs. Herman Sieiken, chairman of the woman's golf committee at Avalon country club, has announced completion of the women’s golf schedule from April 7, through Oct. 6. Mrs. Sieiken and her committee, MEETING TIME OF~ CLASS IS CHANGED The time of meeting for the Wednesday morning study class of the Indianapolis Association of Women Bible Teachers, which meets at the Y. W. C. A., has been changed at 10:30, as was the original custom. Miss Florence Lanham. teacher of the class, is a member of the Y. W. C. A. staff. The International Sunday school lessons are studied for the following Sunday morning classes. Students of the Bible are eligible to attend the sessions. EDUCATION GROUP WILL HAVE PARTY Council of Administration Women in Education will give an “As You Like It’’ party at 7:45 Monday at the Columbia Club. Tables for bridge and other games will be arranged. The next meeting of the council will be tea and election of officers at the Children’s Museum, April 6. When the dining room is available, luncheons will be held in connection with tournaments. April 7, a blind par tournament Bill be held. The first day of the women’s golf tournament of the City Golf Association will be held at Avalon, May 25, and the woman's state golf championship will be played at the club June 20-25. An elaborate schedule, including bi-monthly tournaments, has been arranged by the committee. The Razzberry tournament, held last year, which will become an annual event, will be played in September.
Theta Nu Chi Will Hold Fifth Anniversary Dinner, Program
Indianapolis chapter of the Theta Nu Chi sorority will hold its fifth anniversary dinner tonight at the Antlers, in honor of the founders. Miss Anita Brownlee will act as toastmistress. and tne program will be carried out as a “blues’’ entertainment. Table decoration', will be in the sorority colors, violet and silver. Roses and blue delphinium will adorn the center and will be lighted with violet tapers tied with silver tulle, in silver holders. The program will be presented by Mrs. Edward Robertson, Misses /Louise Watson, Isabelle Early and Charlene Noblitt.

Church Women Entertain With Afternoon Tea Mrs. H. H. McNamee was hostess at tea given by the Woman’s Alliance of the All Souls Unitarian church, at her home, 4507 North Pennsylvania street Friday afternoon for members of the organization and their friends. The tea table was centered with spring flowers, and lighted by green tapers. Mrs. Louie Wiles and Mrs. F. M. Reed poured. During the afternoon a sale of cast-off jewelry was held. The ways and means committee of the Alliance was in charge of the arrangements, with Mrs. Murray Auerbach as chairman assisted by Mesdames Wiles, Reed, Seraph Ashjian, Theodore Reyer, and Russell Lowell. Wedding to Be Followed by Reception The marriage of Miss Beatrice Gale Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cyrus Johnson, 5501 Pleasant Run boulevard, and Urban Russell Stahl. 1855 East Thirtyeighth street, will be solmnized tonight in a ceremony to be performed at 8 at the Irvington Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev. Guy Carpenter officiating. The altar will be in a setting of palms and ferns, and lighted by cathedral candles In seven-branch candelabra. Two taJl baskets of Easter lilies will stand on each side Tall cathedral candles, twined with smilax and tied with white satin bows, will be placed at alternate pews in bronze reed holders. Mrs. Johnson, the bride's mother, will sing -into My Life She Came.' ‘‘Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life,” “The Breeze” and "Because.” W. Bomar Cramer will be organist. Mrs. Lawrence Ray, the bride's sister, will be matron of honor, and Miss Mary Brown will be maid of honor. They will wear princess gowns ol blue crepe de chine, with pepiums blue lace mitts, and carrv arm bouquets of pink roses. Bridesmaids to Wear Pink The bridesmaids, Miss Rosemary Bretzman, Miss Alberta Guild Reep Miss Margaret Shanklin and Y.ss Isabal Wilkinson, will wear frocks of pink crepe de chine, fashioned like the others, pink lace mitte, and carry’ blue tulle muffs of pink roses Glenn Duttenhaver will be best man, and ushers will be Lawrence Ray, Ed Stahl, Walter Roberts. Robert Dixon and Eugene York The bride, whose father will give her in marriage, will wear a gown of white bridal satin, with a full double peplum at the hip line. Her veil will be caught into a cap with a spray of gardenias across the back, and three strands of pearls across the top, which hang on each side. She will carry a bouquet of white roses and gardenias.
Parents to Receive Louis Carroll Becovitz, ring bearer, will wear a white satin suit and carry the ring on a white satin pillow. A reception at the Johnson home will follow the ceremony. Mr. and Stahl will r.eceive with the Johnsons, the bridal couple and the wedding party. Mrs. Johnson will wear emerald green crepe de chine, trimmed in sequins and pearls. She will wear a wrist corsage of orchids. Mrs. Stahl will receive in black georgette with gardenias. During the reception, Glenn Frierrncod, accompanied by Mrs. Woodford Garrigus, will sing. Pauli, a native of Switzerland, will be presented by the South Side Y. W. C. A. branch of world fellowship committee Friday night in the second of a series of travel talks. The program will Include folk songs, yodeling and impressions of America and is open to members of the community and friends of the Y. W. C. A. Mrs. Pauli came to this country a few years ago to join her brother, then a student at Purdue university She sings to the accompaniment of her zither, and gives her program in native costume.
